Including the S/D which has the most options for mostly lunch and dinner? We don't need much but pizza is a must as well as a few choices for the kids. Thanks for any help!

My kids loved the Food 'n' Fun Center at CR.

We ate there often.

We thought The Mara at AKL had a pretty good selection, and was pretty good, whereas Captain Cook's at the Poly was horrible (in our opinion ;) ).

We love Beaches and Cream at the Y & BC, but there's no pizza there. You can, however, get pizza at the Boardwalk. The YC is my favorite resort!!

We thought Roaring Forks at WL was okay, but nothing really special.

Another vote for The Mara at AKL.

Thanks for the replies! My DH really wants to try AKL so maybe since there is some counter service available it may be doable! I always wanted to try the Poly but see that Captain Cook's may not be very good and with 4 litttle ones a quick bite will be really important! Thanks again!:D

I did not think Roaring Forks was that good. I did not think there were many choices. I have only been to PFQT food court and WL at the RF. I have never been to any other Deluxe food courts, so maybe RF is good compared to the other deluxe.

Sorry to get a bit off topic, but what does Captain Cook's lack? I'm very curious to know. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Let me start by saying that this is just my opinion...I'm sure others might think that Captain Cook's is just fine ;) .

While staying at the Polynesian last January, we ate at Captian Cook's twice - both for a quick dinner. One time we got sandwiches/burgers, and the other time we had personal pizzas. We did not enjoy the food and found it way overpriced for the quality. We also found the selection to be lacking. I know food at WDW is overpriced in general, but this just seemed worse - DH got some kind of a BBQ chicken sandwich for about $8 and I got a bag of tortilla chips with a little plastic container of cheese (like what you get at Taco Bell for about 69 cents) for $5. The kids had burgers and chicken nuggets. The pizzas were apparentlely frozen ones that were overbaked and tough -yuk. We found The Mara at AKL had a much larger selection, and the food was fresher. The burgers at B & C were about the same price and the quality was sooo much better. We have also had burgers at the ASMu food court that were very good.

All that said, we loved the Polynesian, and wouldn't let Captian Cook's stand in our way of staying there again :D .

My experience with Roaring Forks was not that great either. As far as counter service is concerned I thought that all deluxes were lacking in that area a bit. Grand Floridian seemed to be pretty good compared to Captain Cooks and Roaring forks, but the moderates and budgets have much better counter service. The trade off I suppose is having more than one option in a deluxe.

As my name implies - we love the CR, and the Food N Fun Center is one of the reasons why! The food we've gotten there is delicious, and cooked to order - they are sometimes a little slow, but they give you a pager, and the best arcade on site is right there!

We've also tried the Mara at AKL, it was okay - bigger than the Food and Fun, but we liked the food better at the CR.

We stayed at BCV in August, and all I could think was, they need a Roaring Forks type place here!
