Are the room only discounts better than the P/S/D discounts? We are taking a late May trip and will need tickets and usually eat 1 or more meals at a table service daily. Any help would be appreciated.

The current discounts end in March. There is nothing out for May as of yet and usually nothing like Stay Play Dine, possibly some room only discounts but I do not believe near Memorial Day.

There's no straight answer. It depends on the resort, the number of people in your party. You have to price both out. Usually room only favors the more expensive resorts.

Correct!

For my travel party of 2 adults staying at a deluxe resort, S/P/D makes little difference in the overall cost of our trip, but 35% off the room is a huge discount.

On the other hand, I booked a trip for a coworker with FD last year. 2 adults and 2 Disney adults (14 yo and 11 yo) staying at a moderate resort and they saved about $1400 using dining plan (whereas the 20% room only discount was only $250ish savings).

Thanks for all the help. I am waiting to see what discounts are posted later this week and compare.
