We don't do the dining plan, so for us it would be the buy 4 get 3.

I think it depends on where you stay. You are saving much more $$ on the 4/3 plan at a deluxe than at a value so, in that case, the 4/3 would be better. If you have only 2 people in your room on the dining plan or if you have children included that makes a difference in the amount you save, too.
You have to do the math for your own situation.

I also agree that it depends on what level of resort you are staying at. For instance I have a 40% off coupon & the only way that the 40% off code becomes a better option over FD is when I am staying at a deluxe or above. I guess I should have mentioned that we are staying for 9 nights.

We also find it hard to stick to the dining plan so we would take the 4/3
