Which day will be the busiest - Dec 17 - 20

We're using our APs and doing our first ever holiday trip! We'll be in the parks Dec 17 (Saturday), 18 (Sunday), 19 (Monday) and the morning of the 20 (Tuesday).

Now, traditional wisdom says that Saturday will be the busiest, followed by Sunday and that Monday will be our lightest full day. However, I'm noticing that between HOJO's retro rate availability and DI&S's overall availability (none on the 19th) that Monday may be our busiest day.

Does that make sense? The closer we get to Christmas, the busier it will be (regardless of the day of the week)?

I think it'll be fairly equal. We did that weekend a couple of years ago. It was busy, but didn't feel crazy. It was reported that parks closed due to capacity, but we never saw it. It happened while we were on our mid day break, and reopened by the time we returned around 4-5pm.

I just wanted to report back, that in this case, the hotel availability was correct. Saturday, Dec 17 was busy, Sunday, Dec 18 was a little less busy and Monday, Dec 19 was the busiest day of our trip. We didn't end up going into the park the morning of the 20th.

I know New Years Eve Day/Dec 31st is normally very very busy, but how is Jan 1st normally? DW and I have got a day to go to Disneyland before the Rose Bowl.
