I have now booked our stay at RPR for next Aug - we check in on Sat 24th and leave on Tues 27th. Can't wait!! :yay: I was thinking of booking a cabana for a day by the pool, but was wondering which would be the better day to do it, and maybe not visit the parks - the Sunday or Monday?

TIA :)

I must say the first year we went to US/IOA we booked a Cabana. We really enjoyed it, but after about 2 hours our kids were like...Can we go to the parks now? So we left. We didn't use the Cabana like I thought we would.

When we rent a cabana we use it as home base. We all come and go from early morning after having breakfast in the cabana to late at night watching the dive in movie. We hit the parks for a little while during the day also. We gather back together at meal times and mostly my kids stay in the pool.

For your dates the parks will close earlier than the pool by quite a few hours. On weekends there is usually more going on poolside. I think I would go with Sunday. :)

It may be the case, but I hope that my DDs love of swimming and the novelty of a cabana may stretch the time out a bit! ;)

Thank you. I was leaning towards the Sunday as our pool day, but I thought it would be best to check with you knowledgeable folk on here. I'm assuming that a Monday at the end of August will be a little less busy in the parks than the Sunday, though I know that Sundays are often recommended on here as a good day to visit.

Bexx, since you are staying onsite, you won't have issues or much of any wait for the rides and shows.

I appreciate that :) (And DH is a total convert after being very against the idea of preferential treatment!!) But I was just wondering if there would be a noticeable difference to the crowd level, particularly at WWOHP and the lines for Forbidden Journey.

if you go to parry hotter ville the last hour the park is open, the lines there are a lot less than they were in the morning or during the day.

some say the last 90 minutes of park hours worked for them to have short lines, if any.

That`s what we found. Never made early entry and usually rode FJ late in the day and didn`t have much of a wait, if any whichever day we went.

You're right! I'm going to stop over planning now, book the Sunday if I can and just enjoy it all!!!

Thanks everyone :goodvibes
