Which CS restaurants in parks have the best desserts?

We just booked a trip yesterday for free dining. :cheer2:

On our last trip, when we ate in the parks, I was always ending up with the choice of a small round carrot cake or brownie for dessert. Back at the resort (Pop Century) the choices were much better.

Does anyone have suggestions for where to use a CS credit in the parks if the decision is based on getting a really yummy dessert?

At Epcot I can think of Sunshine Seasons....

the "in parks' part is the problem though usually you do better with options in Epcot's QS places like Kringla bakeri og.:confused3

If you want the better desserts you may have to get your CS at a bakery like Main Street Bakery, Staring Rolls Bakery or like mentioned Kringla.

Boulangerie Patisserie at France! Not even a debate.

You get a sandwich, choice of dessert, and drink for a counter service lunch.

Starring Rolls at DHS has delicious cupcakes that are huge! Epcot offers some great variety at the various country pavilions--a favorite is France.
We also love Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. Their CS meal reminds me of a TS meal--it's always huge, delicious tasting, and they have an extremely wide selection. Their desserts are the same--wide assortment, fresh baked/not your prepackaged dessert, very YUMMO.

In China you can choose Between red bean or Ginger ice cream and in Mexico you can get a churro at the CS. Both are really good! Does anyone know if you can get baklava in Morroco at TC? In the other parks it is the usual brownie, chocolate cake, key lime pie, cheesecake.....all in the prepackaged containers.

I'm so glad you posted this question - I was just going to ask the same thing. We have the QSDP but I really don't like the pre-packaged desserts. Norway and France are really sounding good, we'll have to give them a try. And we have eaten at Sunshine Seasons so I kow that is a winner. Doesn't seem like MK has that many good dessert options? :confused3

Thanks for the responses. I think the Main Street Bakery is the jackpot! They've got the good desserts and it looks like you can get a red slushie for a drink so that is like a second dessert. :)

Yes, you can add any baklava dessert to a sandwich platter for $2.50. Not sure what the individual price is, but it should qualify under the CS dining or snack.

At Flame Tree and Pizzafari at AK, you can get chocolate mousse! Flame Tree also offers key lime mousse, but it's not as good as the chocolate!!

The pizza place in Italy @ EP gives you a cannoli, which DH really liked. I would sometimes give him my generic dessert (cookie, brownie...) and use a snack credit at the bakery in France. One of my new favorite places!!

Definitely Sunshine Seasons. I also love the baklava from Tangierine - that's the dessert that comes with the schwarma platter if you're on the DDP.

Main Street Bakery and Starring Rolls also come to mind although I've not had their "entrees" (sandwiches) so I can't vouch for the rest of the meal.

One of my all time favorite Disney desserts is the Mickey Cake at the Boardwalk Bakery....I wish you could order them and have them shipped out!

StarringRolls Cupcakes are to die for! And Sunshine Seasons has a great variety of desserts, yum.

But what can you eat for the 'Meal' at Main St. B? Not trying to debate. I would really like to know.

In MK, the Snack credits are the best desserts, IMHO. A good option is to share a (healthy?) meal- my plan actually, and not worry about the pre-packaged desserts, then use Snacks for desserts wherever you want. I plan to do this at MK and AK (want to go to Kusafari bakery) and then I will have more calories to spend on the really good stuff! ;)

The strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons is fantastic! And Yak and Yeti CS has a mango pie that's really good too. Wolfgang Puck Express has a decent creme brulee. We love to have lunch at the Boardwalk Bakery (good sandwiches) and their desserts are awesome!

MK is probably the hardest. Epcot offers an embarassment of riches with Sunshine Seasons, Kringla at Norway, the Patisserie in France, etc. DHS has Starring Rolls; the sandwiches are huge and you also get chips/fruit plus drink plus a good array of dessert choices including those huge tasty cupcakes. I'm not sure about AK because we like the BBQ at Flame Tree which limits you to pre-packaged chocolate or key lime mousse-type cups.

MK - I have not eaten a meal at the Main Street Bakery so hope someone can help out here. For good desserts as well as better overall food we hop on the monorail. Lunch at the CS locations in the CR (Contempo Cafe) or Poly (Capt Cook). Contempo Cafe has a pretty good sized bakery case with many more selections. Capt Cook probably does but the only thing I want for dessert there is the famous Dole Whip - only place you can get one besides the stand in MK. Perfect when you are using lunch as you mid-afternoon break on a hot day.

Which pizza place, the window? Cannoli sounds good!
