Which cruise do you prefer Halloween or merrytime?

Been on both a number of times. Disney really doesn't do in your face themes. Yes a Halloween tree in the lobby or the Christmas tree. I like the MerryTime beginning around the 15th of November. It takes about a week to get the large gingerbread house in the lobby built. Our goal has always been to get the Christmas shopping done before the cruise, because we normally come back to reality and crazy shopping which takes away from the cruise, IMHO.

Can't really go wrong with either one, but a 3 year old would have a blast with Santa. I think CC is cool in December but don't know how much you would swim at CC with a 3 year old anyway.

Have fun either way.

I've put a deposit on a September Halloween on the high seas cruise for just myself and 3 year old daughter. After reading a thread with people's comments about the merrytime cruise I'm thinking of canceling and booking the merrytime for November. The price would be a couple hundred more for an inside room, but it also would give me a few more weeks to finish paying for the cruise. Also should note both would be a 4 night on the dream. I have experienced the Halloween cruise once but it was only 3 nights. Which would you choose?
Well last year we got the best of both world, we took the cruise that included halloween, the next day was WDW (cruise from NY) we left in the morning it was Halloween when we got back at night it was Christmas. I think you would be good with either of them.

Since you've already done Halloween on the Dream, I would try the Merrytime.

I've done both. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I loved the added decorations and special events but the events were minimal. The Christmas cruise had more to do, for sure, if you're looking for more than just decorations.

Both are wonderful. It's totally just holiday preference. I'd do both again.
