We had to push forward my daughter's first trip/5th birthday surprise a month early, so I lost all of our ADRs. Thankfully, I got most back, or different things we were interested in trying too. This will be our only trip with multiple TS unless we happen to get free dining some day.

Anyway, I ended up having to schedule BBB on a Sunday afternoon at DS, then a late lunch at Akershus the same day instead of the "ideal" BBB in MK followed by CRT. If I cancel the BBB, she won't know any better, and I would have longer to enjoy the unexpected benefit of being there for Flowers & Gardens. The rest of my party is heading to Epcot while DD and I head to Disney Springs. However, I really wanted to do this for her birthday! (even though now it's a month early.) I have CRT booked at 8:30 am pre-park opening the last day of our trip. If I canceled it, we would probably go for the welcome show and rope drop.

However, we are returning for a quick two day trip the week before she begins Kindergarten. I was able to book a BBB at opening 8 am in MK followed by a 9:30 ADR for CRT the same morning. We could make this in honor our her starting Kindergarten and forego it for the birthday celebration...

I don't think we should really do two experiences at BBB and CRT, especially within 3 months of each other. If we do it again, it will be in two or more years.

What would you do?

If it were me, I would stick with choice 2! 8am BBB with 9:30 CRT. The waiting longer stinks, but it's more of an ideal situation!
Thank you for the input! I'm highly considering this...

Option 2. Make the Akershus princess meal t her "treat" but just to throw a monkey wrench.... Lol. Have you considered doing Pirates League? She could get done up as a Mermaid, and they do a littlepparade in the afternoon.

Oh! I had considering centering a future trip around doing the mermaid pirate league, booking the Pirate and Pals cruise, etc but had forgotten about it being an option for this trip.... that said, I actually don't think it'll work. We're getting her first haircut done on our last day/2nd MK day(first hair cut ever, at 4, it took her two years to get any hair, now it's super super curly), and have a full morning planned 1st day, so I think I will hold off to make a special mermaid/pirate themed trip lol.

Just to clarify, you'd recommend canceling BBB before Akershus and just going to Epcot that day, but do you think we should visit CRT both trips or save both BBB and CRT for August?

Life is short. Do both.
Hmmmm.. :) I don't want to take away from the "special-ness" of it OR have her thinking it's something we'll do every trip though. That's one reason I was leaning towards doing BBB in DS or CRT breakfast this trip then both in August so at least one would be "new" and "special." If I did do BBB both trips, at least it would be different locations.

I know ultimately I gotta just suck it up and decide on my own, but I like advice when making decisions haha.

Well, initially I was thinking I'd cancel the BBB before Akershus. And keep the BBB/CRT in August. I wouldn't do it both times. Don't get me wrong, we LOVED BBB, but honestly, I wouldn't do it twice. Likewise, I wouldn't do CRT twice, either. I'd rather experience something different the next time. And to me, having to do BBB at DS then transfer back to Epcot etc... isn't quite as magical as being right there in the castle. We did BBB at 5:00 then CRT at 6:50 and it was soooo great :)

Could you do Pirates League with the cruise on your first MK day? You have mentioned trying to do the fireworks that night. What if you did Pirates League sometime during your day at MK, and then did the cruise that night for the fireworks?

Oh, also, just so you know when you're booking your times, make sure you allow at least 90 minutes between your BBB and CRT. If you're doing it in Disney Springs then transferring to EP, allow 2.5 hours in between.

We do CRT every trip. We did BBB in the castle every trip when my daughter was younger (roughly once a year). It was always very special. :) I get what you're saying though.

Maybe go for the Mermaid package at the Pirates League for her birthday, then BBB for the later trip.

I'll look into mermaid and pirates league to see if they're available. :) We had BBB is DS at 12:00 and Akershus at 3:30 so should have had time, but I'm pretty sure I'm canceling it. Haven't called yet though.

We live about 3 hrs from Disney, so this year we're getting Weekday Select annual passes and so far we're planning to go one or two days in June, 2-3 days in August, DH and I only September, for MNSSHP in October... maybe first week of December, etc... so can't start BBB every trip! May try to make it an annual treat though. :D

I'm considering this! :)
