Which concierge is the best and WHY? Which is the worst? Why?

We're currently booked at SL at the GF for our December trip. Just wondering which concierge people have had STELLAR and WONDERFUL service from? Examples?

Which concierge experience has been the worst? Why???

For me personally:

The best is AKL-
great CMs especially Don
Sunrise Safari
delicious apps. and desserts
large, inviting lounge

My least fav. -Poly
Tara in IPO didn't make all of our PSs. I was shocked when we got there and everything hadn't been booked. From now on I check and double check.
We had to ask for a ride to the Hawaii building. We had to ask for leis.
We had settled into our room and the CM came back and told us that he had put us in the wrong room!
I think our 8 day stay was too long because after a few days we were tired of the same food offerings in the lounge. We weren't using it as a meal plan either.
The CMs were warm and friendly and we would return but for a shorter stay.

I am looking forward to our RPC stay at the GF in Dec. It really gets us in the Christmas spirit!

We stayed Poly Lagoon View CL and LOVED it. Never had a problem, got us CRT VERY last minute... we got leis and my DD (we only had 1 at the time) got a pail full of goodies as well. We loved the lounge & used it everyday of our stay, several times a day. The view was AMAZING from our 1st floor room as well.

We are undecided on what concierge we want to use for two trips next summer. I had planned on the Poly concierge for the first part of next summers trip and then AKL concierge for the end. Then in Dec Con 14th floor. I see alot of posts regarding the Poly's concierge and am becoming nervous with the mixed and less than stellar reviews recently. We love the Cont but have read little in regards to the full concierge on the 14th floor. Does anyone have any details? Food offerings are of importance to our two teen boys so detail on appetizers and desserts are important. No we do no intend to make meals of it but if you have teen boys you understand the importance of food 24/7.

AKL for every reason PiratesoftheCarolinas mentioned. They're known as one of the best, and for good reason!

We read lots of posts and researched which concierge to stay at for my 40th b-day, and chose the Poly. We had an absolutely magical time and couldn't imagine any other WDW place offering us the atmosphere, features, and location.

It's the only CL we stayed at and probably the only one we will stay at (although GF is a consideration).

We've tried them all except CR 12th floor and GF RPC.

The best--AKL, Sue and Don in the lounge are TRUE GEMS!

The worst--GF Sugar Loaf (it was actually in Conch while SL was being rehabbed when we stayed there.) It was so bad we left after the first night for the BW.

Here's a run down on teh rest:

YC--Not the best experience, indifferent CM's with attitudes.
BC--Nice but not stellar
BWI--Wonderful!! We really liked it there, it was more of a B&B feel
CR 14th FLoor--Very nice--great lounge with plenty of food and first class service
WL--No lounge really bugged us. We had one bad encounter with a cranky and unhelpful CM
Polynesian--Really enjoyable, although perhaps a bit understaffed.

We haven't had a bad concierge stay.

Poly - our last trip and it was fantastic, Tara took care of everything including hooking me up with a person at the GF to order the slipper and mini wedding cake.

BWI - both times were fantastic!

WL - our first time CL and it was a free upgrade shortly after 9/11. We enjoyed it but didn't get any of the pre-planning.

Wouldn't dream of trying any other CL - AKL is the best!
