My family and I will be visiting USO in June. Which CityWalk restaurants would you recommend? I would like to try Margarittaville for lunch since I have been having trouble securing a dinner reservation. What would be better for dinner - Motown Cafe or Latin Quarter? Also, how far (in terms of minutes) is the walk from USO to Citywalk? Thanks in advance!

The walk from Universal is about 5 minutes,, it's just over a bridge.

I love eating at Margaritaville, and I highly recommend the coconut shrimp. :) I don't think they take ressies at all tho. That's the only place in CityWalk we have eaten at, but if you want to try someplace really wonderful, but inside the parks,, try Mythos in IOA. It's one of my favorite places to eat in Orlando.

I've tried Pastamore for dinner, their Fettuccini Alfredo is wonderful! I've had a snack at the Latin Quarter Express, love those pastelillos! (Those are beef in a dough wrap that is deep fried).

I have really enjoyed my meals at the Latin Quarter. Mythos is IOA is my all time favorite restaurant there though.

Margaritaville takes priority seating reservations. I was able to get them for the end of June.

We have eaten at Hard Rock, Margaritaville and Motown Cafe. They were all good. Margaritaville is really cool inside, and even better if you love Jimmy Buffett (going to his concert July 3, yea!!!!!). I thought Motown's prices were cheaper than most themed restaurants, but the food was good.

Depending on what price range you are looking for...

We enjoy margaritavile for snacks and drinks on the decks. Food isn't anything special, but the volcano nachos and shots are great.

For dinners we like NBA city or Latin Quarter. We like Emeril's once in a while, and Tchoup Chop (at RPR).

For lunch..NBA city. Latin quarter probably good also..just never been there for lunch.

We like Margaritaville and the Hard Rock Cafe. Both offer great atmosphere and food.

Enjoy!

We've eaten at Hard Rock Cafe and Motown Cafe but my all time favourite has to be Mythos in IOA. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

We've actually eaten at every CityWalk restaurant over the past few years, finally getting to Margaritaville just last weekend and in all honesty, there isn't one that I wouldn't go back to. I did think that Motown Cafe went down a bit in quality the last time we went there but other than that, I would say just pick the type of food that most suits you and go for it. You'll most likely be pleasantly surprised.

Her's another vote for the Latin Quarter.

I found the food at most of the places to be just run of the mill pub/Mexican fare. The theming at the restaurants was nice and the atmosphere at Margaritaville was fun, but the food was nothing to write home about.

The LQ seemed to be more about the food than the other places (no, we didn't got o Emerils).

We wanted to try Mythos but it wasn't open at night when we went.

I'm always surprised no one ever mentions City Jazz - as far as food their menu is really limited (chicken fingers, appetisers, etc...) BUT the club itself is the best club down there - most comfortable, most entertaining. (and they don't always play jazz either- they have an assortment of entertainment)

Since you mentioned USO... Nascar Cafe is close. The burgers were awesome we actually ate there twice while there and the service was very good. My DS enjoyed the arcarde room. He was able to go play while we waited on our food. An added bonus was when the cars start up. I read someone considered that noisy... my son was looking around like what's going on.:earseek:

Thanks for all of the posts everyone. I am looking forward to the trip. I think that we will eat at Margarittaville for lunch and the Latin Quarter for Dinner. :D -Melodie

How expensive is Mythos? I am really interested in eating there (thanx to all your reviews) but there are four of us, and we are on a budget.

TIA!
