The snow flocked LOOKS nice, but unless the "flocking" is actually coloring on the needles, you'll have that stuff flaking off ALL over your house, then, it doesn't look so nice any more... :rolleyes1

I agree I had a snow flocked one and it was awful with all the stuff coming off all over the place. Real pain! I say go with the other one.

If it's not a real tree, it's not worth having.

If you don't want a fake and you get real ones ok that is fine your choice. But why take the time and effort to belittle someone else for THEIR choice?? :confused3

A real tree isn't worth the ALLERGIES and the splinters and the sap and the fire hazard. We also keep our tree up much longer than a real tree would be able to survive.

Fake all the way and proud of it! :thumbsup2

I used to think that until the tree we had hatched hundreds of little bugs in my house.

Best thing about a fake tree is that the branches are a lot stronger so they hold my heavy hallmark and glass ornaments without them falling off and breaking.

And, i vote for the green tree,

....oh ho - don't be so quick to judge....fake tress certainly have their place. We buy a real tree every year, but many folks have extreme allergies to real trees and HAVE to use a fake one if they want a tree in their home for the Holidays....popcorn::

Why kill a tree just so you can hang things on it? Plus, here in CO, unless you've got a tree stand with a direct line into the reservoir, it's going to be dropping needles like they're going out of style in about a day and a half!

By Christmas, you tree will be naked!:rotfl:

No real tree for us due to asthma/allergies. I like the green tree look best as my ornaments and lights would show up better - I think. The flocked is pretty though all on its own with some white lights. I also think that stuff may come off the branches.

I'm the proud owner of a fake green tree ::yes::

Nothing wrong with a real tree IMO. There are farms dedicated to growing those if that's your thing.

However, we have a fake tree and enjoy the simplicity of it. No muss, no fuss. :)

Maybe to you, but I love having a "fake" tree. OP, I voted for the green pine by the way. Don't care for flocked trees.

But in having a "fake" tree you can put it up as early as you want and take it down as late as you want and you don't have a dead tree in the process. :) No needles falling off as it dries out and getting stuck in the carpet. No watering daily. No trouble getting it put into the stand. No "bad side" that you have to hide against the wall. Etc. etc. And the big reason? No FIRE HAZZARD! I remember we got real trees when we were first married, but after I saw DH take it outside to throw it away and struck a match to it and it was GONE in 3 seconds flat? No more real trees to worry about catching fire.

Many good reasons for having a "fake" tree! :thumbsup2
