Hi
We are a group of 7 (me35, DH32, DS2, DS5, nephew 15, and my Parents who are in their 60's).

We've already booked some meals:
T-REX
Rainforest
Character Breakfast at Contempory Resort
Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic package)

We'd like to book a Character Dinner.

Bearing in mind the wide variety in my groups ages, can anyone recommend some good places we could go to for a Character Meal?

Nothing Princessy as we are mostly boys (apart from me and my Mum).

Thanks,
Karen

I'm going to assume that the one you have booked at the Contemporary is Chef Mickey, other options that would probably be good for you are Ohana Breakfast & Tusker House Breakfast.

I second Ohana and tusker house breakfast they were my favorites from our last trip.

Also liked garden grill at Epcot the food was really good and DD got some amazing character time x

We wanted to do a dinner as we're already doing a breakfast.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Karen
:)

for lunch I would have said Tusker House, as it's the most "neutral" character meal and it will please all age groups.

for Dinner I'd do Crystal Palace.

We really liked garden grill at Epcot. Food is served family style and character interaction was great - mickey, Pluto chip and dale.

We did most character meals last trip link in my signature to my deluxe dining review with lots of photos.

We really didn't enjoy Garden Grill but it could have been an off day for them. Service was ridiculously slow and food was lukewarm at best. Others really enjoy it though so it's worth considering.

Garden Grill for dinner is by far the least frenetic as they bring the food to you. Great food and service in our experience. 1900 Park Fare (dinner), is also good food and the ugly sisters are very funny whatever age you are. Akershus is princesses but the food is very good. For what it's worth, my lad, now nearly15, quite likes the princesses. Wasn't bothered aged 8,9, 11 or 13 but suddenly he seems quite keen ;)

LOL!! That really made me laugh!

Another one voting for Garden Grill. We really love it, character interaction is great and they bring the food to you!

This year we are trying Crystal Palace for dinner for the first time (we normally do it for breakfast) the Winnie pooh characters are great whatever your age :)

I would vote Garden Grill - great character interaction.
Next trip I will be trying breakfast at 'Ohana.

I'm thinking of CP now.
My DS5 is very fussy so as long as they have nuggets he'll be ok! LOL!:rotfl2:

Another vote for CP in MK. Good food, some of the best we have had here, and who can resist Tigger! 1900 Park Fare was good too - although it is princesses with Cinderella, the ugly stepsisters and Step Mother are hilarious. Good food there too. Alasdair was also chosen by Cinders to dance with her.

Children's choice are Pretty much the same at buffets (or every where for that matter) Chicken nuggets mash potato Mac and cheese and pizza.

I am sure where ever you choose you will have a great time x x
