We just booked for dec 11-18  I have a DD who will be 2 weeks shy of 2, first trip, and DS who is 5, second trip. What character meals are a must? We did 2 last time, crystal palace for breakfast, and Hollywood Vine and Dine with the cast of playhouse disney.

I would like to do 3-4 this trip, I think. I just booked breakfast at the crystal palace on our first day there (a sunday). What else should I do? I thought maybe cinderellas table, and there were a couple reservations avaiable when I looked. Is there another meal with princess's that we might like more? DD doesn't really "get" it, but I think it would be fun. Anything else we must see? Thanks!

We really enjoy Garden Grill and Cape May Cafe; both are relaxed atmosphere and it seems like the characters really spend more time interacting with our son than at the other meals we've been to.

I would wait till your daughter is older before you book CRT that way she can remember A great alternative is PSB,my son and I visit at least twice each trip he loves the ladies : ) we have been eating there since he was 2.. Maybe we will see you guys we will be there Dec 11th-17th doing the Deluxe Plan.We will be Celebrating my Prince's 5th Birthday! Here is what I think that you guys would enjoy!

1.PSB
2. Tusker House
3.1900 Park Fare for Breakfast or Dinner
4. Tusker House Breakfast
5. Teppan Edo
6. Lecelliar
7. Ohana
8. Chef Mickey's Breakfast
9. Cape May Breakfast
10.Crystal Palace

Instead of CRT, maybe consider Akershus in Epcot (Norway). You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner with 5 princesses. There is a nice appetizer bar and I think the food looks pretty good. The breakfast has very familiar foods, the lunch and dinner are a bit more adventurous, but still a lot of choices.

We have DS 4 and DS 5 and are doing Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Faire (also with Cinderella), and Garden Grill for our character meals.

Have fun planning! Researching the restaurants has been my favorite part of the process so far!

Breakfast at 1900 was good. Alice and Mary poppins are there. They were great with my DH and me and I saw they were good with kids too. Plus there is Winnie the pooh and tiger too.

We went with our granddaughter who was just 4 and our grandson who was 5 and we had a great time....because of their ages we wanted meals that were ready when we arrived inside the restaurants....SO Crystal Palace was one for dinner ....Princess in Norway was excellent and we were there for breakfast....We also did Donalds breakfast in AK and the kids had a great time and the food was pretty darn good too......We also did the Luau and they sat there for two hours totally glued to watching the show....
Last year we took them to the Hollywood and Vine breakfast and they liked that one too.....If we had to do it over ....we would definitely do all of the above again

I would go with 1900 Park Fare for breakfast with Mary, Alice, Winnie, Tigger and the Mad Hatter. Good food and great characters. They also do a dinner with Cinderella and the step sisters, stepmother and Prince Charming. There is a bit more interaction with Cinderella than at CRT, since she and the Prince dance and then invite children to dance with them. The picture of Cinderella dancing with my daughter is priceless!

Tusker House has the main characters and is an excellent buffet, plus you are right at the back of the park so if you get there before opening, you can finish breakfast and go right to the safari with no wait. Cape May Cafe is also a good breakfast and like others said, more relaxed than say, Chef Mickey's. Garden Grill at Epcot is a neat experience and sort of laid back. You may also want to consider Mickey's BBQ at Ft. Wilderness. The kids get to dance with the characters, which is fun. Some find the crush of the first couple of dances to be off-putting, but we've never had a problem, especially after the first couple of rounds (of about 15 minutes of dancing at a time). Things settle down and it is really fun. Your older child may enjoy the cowboy roping and stuff, plus they burn off so much energy that going to bed is no problem! There is also a campfire movie with Chip and Dale out there, where you can buy smores. We've also enjoyed the breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at O'Hana's.
