If you were only going to one character meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner), which would you recommend.

My boys are ages 13, 11, and 7.:earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

I cps5, Welcome to the Dis:earsboy: I think the food quality is best at 1900 Park Fare at GF. Characters include Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, and Mary Poppins.

Since you have boys, I would have to say Chef Mickeys.
My families two favorites are CM and CRT, but we have a DD7 who loves the princesses. The only other consideration would be- Does anyone in your family have favorite characters? If they do, you would want to plan a meal to see that character. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thank you Micca and sk!mom,

I think I am probably leaning towards Chef Mickeys. I don't think it is easy to get PS for CRT and I don't think my boys would be into that one.

I wasn't sure if Donalds Dinosaurous(sp) breakfast was worth a try??

Donals's is great for boys and a lot of fun. We found good food and great character interaction at that one. We find CM ok, but really not our favorite. Our very favorite is the LTT at MK. It is family style dinner with Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale and Pulto I think. The food was awsome and the interaction lower keyed but very good. CP is pretty good but with your boys ages, I doubt that Pooh characters will be a big hit.

We've been to all the character meals with the exception of CRT, SBP, CM, and LLT, and since we have young boys, I doubt we would ever make it to CRT and SBP. We liked the lunch at the Crystal Palace the best in terms of food selection and character interactions--we had 11:35 PS. With the older boys though, CM may be better. It's on our list for the next trip.

I'd look at your schedule, where you are going to be, which characters you were interested in seeing, and work from there.

For instance, if you are staying in the Epcot resort area, Cape May might be a great choice. If you are staying at the Poly, Ohana might be a great choice. If you want to get in to an early breakfast on your AK day, Breakfastasaurus. If dinner works better into your plans than breakfast, Garden Grill, Chef Mickeys or LTT are your choices.

We've taken our last couple of trips with little kids in tow - too little to handle their own buffet plates - and think Family Style or Plated is wonderful. The next trip they will be six and seven and we may be branching back out .

I have two sons (9 and 11 on our first WDW trip, 12 and 14 now) and Donald's Breakfastosaurus is a must-do for us every trip. We first went here because my younger DS's favorite character is Donald. We enjoyed the theming and characters here so much, we keep going back. If you have boys, I think you'll really like this one.

I vote for either Donald's Breakfastosaurus (if you want to have the character meal at AK, or either breakfast or dinner at the Crystal Palace (at MK) - especially if you like the Pooh characters.

Good luck with your choice!

Dave

If you do decide to go to Donald's Breakfastosaurus, you can get ps before AK even opens. (if you are early risers) We enjoy the food and early entry to the park.(It's also the only place to dine with Donald present)
I think Chef Mickey's would be a good choice also. Good food and lots of characters and lots of fun.

We love donalds Breakfastosaurus. My now 14 DS alwyas insist on eating there and probably will continue to. I think iti s reall ythe best one for boys
Given that however I am determined to try Goofy's Beach Blast (also breakfast only)at Cape May. It gets great reviews and would be a good non park day meal, or for the days we go to BB or DQ, since both open later then the "big 4"

We have done Cape May, CM, Crystal Palace, CRT, and Hollywood and Vine(no longer a choice). We loved Cape May and Chef Mickeys the best for food and character interaction. Eating in the castle was nice, but we enjoyed the others better.
