Which Character Meal?

Hi!
Going to WDW November/December... DH & I have been numerous times (it's my favorite place ever!!) but this time DH's family is coming, mother in law, father in law, sister in law (16) & brother in law (12). DH & I have no kids, so it will be the 6 of us! They have never been (from the west coast) they always do the 'Land - can't wait for the shocked expressions when they realize just how much bigger WDW is, lol! (mother in law still can't understand why we can't stay off property "across the street" from the park & just "walk in" lol) Anyway, after that long explanation --- what character meal should we attend? We have never done one, but have always wanted too... Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

We don't do character dinners, but for breakfast we like Chef Mickey's, Ohana, 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace.

Our favorite character breakfast is Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends. My daughters are now 22 and 24 and they still request Crystal Palace.

We have tried Akershus for breakfast with the princesses and we loved the princess interaction but we did not like the food. We have also done Chef Mickey's breakfast at the Contemporary and it was alot of fun but the food was not as good as Crystal Palace.

This year we are trying 1900 Park Fare for dinner at the Grand Floridian with Cinderella and her step sisters.

We've been the WDW many times but did'nt really start doing character meals til the kids got older. They are now 26,21,& 14. They're favorite is Donald's Safari breakfast. Last year we did Crystal Palace lunch with Pooh and friends- not bad- I think I'd prefer breakfast before the park opens. It's not a character meal but our whole family- 9 of us- went last summer and really had a great time at the HDDR. The youngest was 6months (DGS) and the oldest was 50 (DH).

This is a site with all the menus in all of The World (; There is a special section with just character meals - who the characters are, and what they are serving. You may concider doing a show like Hoop-De-Doo or the Spirit of Aloha. With the ages of the kid in-laws, that may be a better option.

All of the character meals mentioned are great, as are the dinner shows. I think the suggestion of looking at menus is good. Also consider whether there are particular characters or types of dining experience which you are looking for. WDW has a ton of character meal options; just tailor it to the group who will be attending.

First timers might really like the Chef Mickeys thing -
Lots of pics with Micky,Minnie ,Goofy ect
Kinda a loud fun atmosphere -not low key
Food is Disney Buffet food just so so -
but I think it's a fun experience to have
