Which character meal would you choose?

We'd pick Tusker House. For us it had better food, it was cleaner, the character interaction was better...it was just all around better.

No ? Chef Mickey's. It's so much better than Tusker. Everything about it is much better. The food, the atmosphere. :worship::thumbsup2:banana:

We've not done Tusker House as of yet, but hope to on a future trip. We've done Chef Mickey's a number of times. Unfortunately, each time we have gone, the quality of the food has gone down and the character interaction seemed much more rushed on the last visit. I think it comes down to which characters you want to see and convenience to what you will be doing that day.

I agree 100%. Chef Mickey's isn't bad, but Tusker House is much better overall.

1900 Park Fare was worth it last April. I've done Chef Mickey's before and I found it to be in the middle. O'Hana is the best I think. You can't top that butter and pineapple bread

For me, it would depend upon what park I'd be going to that day. If I was planning to spend the day at AK, then I'd definitely do Tusker House. If I was spending the day anywhere else, I'd choose CM.

My choices based a good combo of food AND character interaction:

Breakfast - Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare or CRT

Lunch - Have not had a character lunch yet, but we will be trying CP in just a few short days :goodvibes

Dinner - unfortunately, Liberty Tree does not do character dinner anymore. That would have been my choice. Chef Mickeys has THE WORST dinner buffet food I have ever had anywhere (except dessert bar), but the characters and atmosphere were great...so it is a trade off. We still would never go there again, EVER!

2 of our Fav meals last trip were Tusker house,we booked it twice for this years trip. The second was Garden Grill we had to do it again this trip. When we asked our DD3 what her 1 thing she had to do again this year it was GG at Epcot, much to our surprise.

We really like both, and are doing both breakfasts again on our upcoming trip. I would go to Tusker House if you plan on spending the day in the park anyway, but if not would go with Chef Mickeys.

As others have said, I would do Tusker House only if I were planning to be at the Animal Kingdom that day. We typically try to get an 8:00 am seating on a normal day so that we can have breakfast behind us and beat the crowd to KS. If it is not an AK day I would go with Chef Mickey's.

Tusker House breakfast is our favorite dining experience and we've tried most of them.

Hands down, Tusker House. The food was incredible and the characters were great!

Definetly Tusker House. This is our favorite character meal in Disney World. The food is delicious and the characters are great. Daisy Duck is there too. The selection of food is huge, the restaurant is bigger and spread out, and the characters spend lots of times at your tables and come around more than once. Their Jamba Juice is delicious too!

Chef Mickey's is packed, you have to wait around long times for the characters to come around. They don't spend more than a minute or so at your table either. The food is just ok.

Another vote for Chef Mickeys. slightly better food at Chef Mickeys. Definitely better character interraction, as Tusker House is very, very loud. We also had poor service at Tusker House.

Experiences vary widely at character meals. Ours have been:

Chef Mickey's : OK food, OK service, TERRIFIC character interaction

Tusker House: Fabulous food, fabulous service, HORRIBLE character interaction

You just never know....
