If you were just choosing 1?

1900 for breakfast
  • what is the best time to go? hang out in the park first or go straight there? We are probably staying at Pop

Crystal Palace
  • is Breakfast hard to get before park opens? What about lunch? is that a better idea?

Cape May
  • know nothing about it, but it looks nice.....

Child will be 6 and has no preference for Characters.

also if you have to choose one would you choose Boma (any meal) or Kona (breakfast)?

Thanks for the insight!:yay:

Crystal Palace....hands down. I love that restaurant and the characters.

I agree! Haven't done the other two but had a blast at CP for breakfast. Get the earliest ADR time, and you get to walk down Main Street while it is virtually empty...an incredible experience and great for photo ops. Also, CP seems great for those with kids and without. We were without and enjoyed watching Pooh parade the kids around the center of the restaurant, but didn't feel overwhelmed as we did at Chef Mickey's. Great food...gotta try the puffy french toast!

Everytime we go, we do Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. It's the best and our daughters loved it. Best thing to do is eat there first then go to the park of your choice. We always schedule it around 7:30-8:00, which it's less crowded and the characters are more into the guests. Enjoy your visit and have a Magical Day.:cloud9:

We enjoyed both 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace. We haven't tried Cape May, but I have heard good things (esp if you like Mickey and friends). However, this would be the least convenient location if you plan to spend the day at MK.

Between 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace...we thought the food was equally enjoyable at both. CP is a prettier restaurant and very convenient if you are in MK. However, the character variety at 1900 Park Fare (Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, etc) gives it the upperhand in my opinion (vs. just Pooh characters at CP). The Mad Hatter is very entertaining!

Really, you can't wrong with either one. If you chose 1900 Park Fare I would do that first and then go to the park (save yourself a lot of time getting back and forth). Depending on how far out you are trying to get ADRs...you should be able to get an early CP reservation. I would choose breakfast over lunch.

As for Kona or Boma...I had the same dilemma planning our upcoming trip. I ended up choosing Boma (dinner) because we haven't visted AKL. We'll have to save Kona for a future trip! ;)

We have ate Breakfast at both CP and 1900 Park Fair. My DD was 4 at CP and 5 when we ate at 1900. We enjoyed both. If your Child has no preference eat at CP. It is fun to eat in MK and will be easier to get there. My dd loves Mary Poppins so 1900 was great for us, and both had Tigger and Pooh.

Good Luck and have fun!:flower3:

Well, tough choice... if you're only picking one. I'd say it depends on what your plans are because these are all in different locations....I've heard good things about about Cape May.

Crystal Palace is a must do for lunch... been there 3x, love the pooh characters and the food is very good. It's nice to have characters at lunch (most are breakfast or dinner).. and I like my dinners to be something different (signature restaurant or Epcot or themed dinner)....

1900 Park Fare was a great breakfast, lots of characters (Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Tigger and Pooh) and the food was very delicious with a lot of variety including strawberry soup... Mary Poppins' favorite.

You said Kona for breakfast... I'd skip that and go to Ohana's right next to it - both at the Polynesian. Ohana's has Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch and the food was very good.... I think Kona is overrated..... At Ohana's breakfast, the warm pinapple-coconut bread is worth it alone....

Crystal Palace hands down is our favorite character breakfast (then Cape May, Chef Mickey's).

I would pick Boma breakfast, but have never done Kona. But we were blown away by Boma in September.

We love Cape May a lot but in March we decided to try Crystal Palace for breakfast (been there once before for dinner a few years back). Just yesterday I made the ADR for 8:05am (during Early EMH) for 6 people with no problems. I was amazed by this because I know that I have read reports that it is really hard to get into here.
