Okay, I know I'm asking this a long time in advance, but it's never too early to start planning!! We will be at WDW for my daughter's 16th birthday next June. More than likely, we will be at MK on her actual birthday, as this is her favorite park. Please give your experiences with character meals/TS restaurants at MK and surrounding resorts, and which one you think would be perfect for a 16-year-old girl.

Thanks!!

I vote for WCC at WL. The boat ride over is nice and you are guaranteed a good time. The antics are/can be a lot of fun and the food is pretty good. Check it out.

CP is an awesome character meal, we have eaten there for breakfast and dinner and it is always wonderful.

I had my birthday at CM last Oct and it was fun but the food was horrible.

Princess Breakfast was a blast for my 2 nieces but I dont know if a 16 year old would like it

Donalds Breakfast, alot of fun with great food.

1900 Park Faire, would never do it again. The food was lousy and the place was very noisy and jam packed with people, tables are way to close together

Cape May Breakfast, the best of the bunch. Awesome food and fantastic character interaction

I'm TOTALLY going to vote for Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. I had breakfast there on my 30th bday and had a BLAST! I'm a total kid at heart!! And MK is also my favorite park.

They "specialize" in birthdays too. If you let them know when you make the reservation they'll have "gifts" at the table for her. I got a special place mat and they brought me cup cake. Of course, this was 3 years ago so who knows what they do now.... could be even better.

Thanks for all the feedback. I am leaning toward Chef Mickey's for breakfast and maybe Crystal Palace for dinner. We will definitely eat at WCC at some point during our trip, but will probably do that another day wince we will probably be staying at WL, at least for part of the trip.

I think Liberty Tree Tavern is a fun character dinner meal.. food is decent, served family style, I just like it there.

Have you considered CRT? What better way to turn sweet 16 than in the castle. If you book dinner time correctly, you could be there for Wishes!!!

IMO the character interaction at Ohana was the best and to be honest we enjoyed the food there the most too. Chef Mickeys character interaction was great too but the food just wasn't as good as Ohana.

I've thought about this, but DD isn't really a "princess person." I'm wondering if just the atmosphere of dining in the castle would make up for that.

Dinner doesn't have all the princesses. Cinderella is downstairs for pictures and then every 45 min or so the fairy godmother comes out with the mice to do a short little show and announce who at dinner is celebrating something special like an anniversary or BIRTHDAY!!!
From what I have heard it is much more geared toward an adult experience, unlike the princess character meals at breakfast and lunch. We had lunch there last month and the food was very good!

If you want to splurge, you could also consider the California Grill at the Contemporary. The write-ups and pics make it look amazing!! Also, if you time it well, it is supposed to be an awesome way to watch Wishes!!

We've got an ADR for CRT breakfast on my DD's 13th b-day this summer.

For dinner that night, we're eating at the Princess meal in Norway & then we've booked an Illuminations birthday celebration cruise!!!

This sounds wonderful! Well, I can't make ADRs for another 6 months, so I've got plenty of time to decide!:rotfl:

Remember, what ever you decide, to mention it is your daughter's 16th birthday when you make your reservations. I have read that most restaurants will decorate the table and/or have a special dessert. Some people mention it for each ressie, which allows your daughter to celebrate the entire week!!
Have fun!!
I also have read that there is a special Cinderella slipper dessert that you can have delivered to CRT for your daughter. If you search the DIS you will be able to find pictures.

A vote for CP here. I really prefer the food over CM's. Also agree with CA Grill if on the DP and you can spend 2 credits there. It is amazing. My DD23 loved Lilo and Stitch for Breakfast at Ohana's.
