Which character meal is best or.....

which non-character meal is best....I am trying to decide on making ressies and I'm wondering if you could choose one character meal and one meal without characters...where would they be? This would be for dinnertime only. Thanks.

For dinner:

character: Crystal Palace

non-character: This one is hard lol. Hmm.....Le Cellier or O'Hana for traditional service, or Boma if you're looking for a buffet.

Our favorite character meal is always Chef Mickey's, we eat there twice every trip, one dinner one breakfast. We think the breakfast is best!!!

On this trip we tried LeCellier for the first time and it did not disapoint. It was amazing, probably the best meal we have ever had in Disney.

Our favorite counter service is Cosmic Ray's chicken and ribs combo...

NOW I'M HUNGRY!!!

Character: I have never eaten at Chef Mickey's for dinner, but I LOVED the breakfast. I have heard great things about the dinner there too.

Non-character: 'Ohana would be my #1 choice for dinner. I love the food and the entertainment.

Of the 3 character meals we attended last week, LTT was my favorite. There was actual character interaction...which seems to me is the reason we all shell out $$$$ for average food. Playhouse Disney at H&V for lunch was in 2d place [based on characters, the food was mediocre at best]. Our lunch at the Crystal Palace was a bit of a let down....I know its a large room and the characters need to move, but the contrast with LTT was stark. Our not-quite-3-yr-old-DS could barely get warm to the Character and BAM gone! I'm not talking about a long visit to warm...this was truly duck behind son for a pic, sign the book and go.....no "gimme 5's", no little goofing type games, nothing. I think we'll skip it next time.

For a non-character meal, the we had the best time at Spoodles. We ordered a lot of the appetizers and used them like Tapas for dinner. Everything was good, staff was great....its definately on my "do again" list.

Some favorites:

Non-character TS: Coral Reef or Le Cellier
Non-character CS: Biergarten and Cosmic Ray's are alot of fun for lunch (and have good food as well)

Character Breakfast: Akershus (if you want to get princesses without the line), Donald's Safari Breakfast, and O'hana's are our favorites.
Character Dinner: Chef Mickey's
