Which character meal do you suggest?

I don't have an opinion since we haven't been to Disney yet. Leaving for our first trip in 10 days. SO EXCITED! Here's the toll free number to call
1-800-828-0228. HAVE FUN!!!

We (me, DW, twin DD4) were just there 9/24 to 9/30 and did the following character meals which were all fantastic on their on way:

Chef Mickey for Dinner
Cinderellas Royal Table for Breakfast
Crystal Place for Dinner

If you have girls definitely do CRT for breakfast (if you can get in). The meal wa fantastic, all you can eat family style (which I preferred). Myself and both my girls each had two plates full. The atmosphere is great, especiallyf ro little princesses. I personally would recommend a later time between 9:30 and 10:30, because you can take your time since breakfast is winding down. Others have posted here that they felt rushed at CRT; we had a 9:50 am ressie and were not rushed at all. An added bonus to a later time is that you do not really need lunch and it sets you up for an early dinner to beat the dinner rush and you can get by on two meals for the day. Am I budget (time and money) minded or what.

If you want to do a character meal and not go into the parks for the day Chef Mickey is the ticket. We did it on our arrival day (Sunday) for dinner and the atmosphere was loud (its int the Contemporary ...), but not bad. The characters are fantastic and my girls talked about this all week until they did CRT on Thursday. What could be better than dinner with (when we went) Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Chip -N- Dale and the food was very good.

Our Crystal Palace dinner was probably the best buffet we had. I would highly recommend it if you are in the MK for dinner. The Seven acre wood characters were great and my one daughter was really into them before we went to disney (esp Pooh) and I squeaked this in just before we left. Atmosphere and food was a step above Chef Mickey and the characters were very good (there is no way they are going to be better than Chef Mickey)

My wife and I compared notes about CM and CP and here is how we ranked them:

Atmoshphere (i.e. elegance, relaxing): Me: CP DW: CP
Characters: Me: CM Wife: CM
Food: Me: CP Wife: each were the same

I personally think you will have a magical experience with any of these three, However if you are in MK do CP instead of running over to CM.

I will give you an idea all what the prices are at the characters meals in DisneyWorld and what characters are there ect. > The only character meals that I know of that I will not cover are the ones in the hotels by downtown as I don't know too much about them. Now I will do my best to give you the best idea, but I am not sure on a few things.

I will first start with the Magic Kingdom characters meals both the ones at the Resorts and Theme Park.

First lets do the magic kingdom resorts.

1. At the Grand Floridian Hotel is 1900 Park Fare dinner is $28.99 all you can eat and drink ( save stuff such as wine ) and the characters that come to your table are Suzy Mouse and Perla Mouse and Cinderelly ( Cinderella, but I think it's cute when I call her Cinderelly :goodvibes ) and Prince Charming. The Fairy Godmother is out in the lobby.

2. 1900 Park Fare breakfast is $18.99 all you can eat and drink ( save stuff like maybe wine ) and the characters that come to your table are Alice, the Mad Hatter, Tigger and Pooh. Marry Poppins in out in the lobby.

3. At the Polynesian Resort they have a character breakfast at Ohana and it's $18.99 all you can eat and drink ( save stuff like maybe wine ) and the characters that come to your table are Lilo and Stich and also Pluto. Mickey is also there dressed in Hawaii clothes and you can get a photo taken with him, but he does not come to the tables.

4. At Disney's Contemporary Resort is Chef Mickey's and I believe the breakfast is $18.99 and I am not sure about the dinner but I guess around $26.99 or so ? The breakfast and the dinner are both all you can eat and drink ( save stuff like maybe wine ) >

When I was there for the breakfast the characters there were Mickey,Minnie,Chip and Dale, Pluto ( I think ) and Goofy. Now I believe that it was just special that Goofy was there, because I think I heard that for breakfast line up it's Mickey,Minnie,Chip and Dale and I think Pluto and for dinner all these characters are there and Goofy and Donald are there as well ? I will say that Goofy and Donald could very well be at the breakfast at lot. Also like I said this is just to give you an idea about these characters meals. I believe that all the characters were dressed up like chefs :goodvibes

Now for the characters meals at the Magic Kingdom theme park

5. The Liberty Tree Tavern has a character meal for dinner at it's located in Liberty Square. It's an all you can eat and drink dinner and it's $27.99 > The characters that are there are Minnie Mouse, Chip and Dale, Pluto, Goofy. They are dressed in American Revolutionary clothes. Minnie looks so cute :lovestruc All the characters come to your table.

6. The Crystal Palace has a character meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's located on Main Street, U.S.A > The characters for all the meals are Piglet ( I Love Piglet because he is shy and cute like Flower and little me  ) , Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. At the end of the dinner I think all the characters line up together at times so you could get a photo taken with all 4 of them together :goodvibes The price for the breakfast is $18.99 and lunch is around $20.99 I believe and I think dinner is around $27.99. All the meals are all you can eat and drink.

7. Cinderelly's Castle is located Fantasyland and it has 3 characters meals. These prices include tax and tip so it's the grand total. For breakfast it's $38.21 for lunch $40.70 and for dinner $48.17 > For each meal you get a photo taken with Cinderelly and they bring it to your table. The photo package is included with your meal so the price that you pay to eat at Cinderelly's Castle includes your food and all you can drink as well as your photo package.

Your photo package comes in a nice Disney folder and when you open it there is a nice sized photo of you with Cinderelly on one side and on the other a photo of the castle. You also get 4 copies of your photo with Cinderelly in 4 x 6 prints. This photo package comes with all 3 meals and for dinner you get something extra which is a poster of the Castle I believe.

I need to get ready for work now, but it's only a 2 and a half hour work day and when I get back I will edit my post to add in the other character meals :goodvibes

Now it's time for the Epcot characters meals both the Resorts and the Theme Park.

I will start with the Resorts

8. The Cape May Café is at the Beach Club Resort and it has a character breakfast that is all you can eat and drink ( save stuff like wine ) for either $17.99 or $18.99 ? The characters that are there are Minnie Mouse, Chip and Dale, Pluto and Goofy. They are dressed in Beach type clothes :goodvibes

9. The Garden Grove Café is a character meal at the Swan Hotel ( I will get back to this one later )

Now for the theme park.

10. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is located in Norway and it has 3 character meals. The prices for these 3 meals are something like this $28.99 for dinner, around $24 or so for lunch and I believe $18.99 for breakfast.

Okay I am not done yet, but I need to get to bed soon, so I will update it later :)
