Hi girls,

As our wedding is getting closer we are having lots of discussions about different aspects of the day and transport to the ceremony is turning out to be quite a hot topic at the moment!

My DF has decided that he doesn't want us having the Glass Coach as he doesn't like the idea of it. I was a little disappointed at first but it is our wedding day and I want him to be happy with all our choices.

So my question is which transport did you use to get you to the ceremony? Do you have any photos and were you happy with your choice?

I would love to see pictures of the vintage rolls. I will have to keep a look out for your TR.

I'm hoping to have the coach but if the budget doe not allow I like the look of the old ford they have but i have no pics yet, my planning session is on 5th feb so hope to get some more pics then

We used the vintage Rolls. We LOVED it! A few pics for you:

I shall be taking the monorail ;)

From the Contemporary (my mother is staying there) to the Polynesian.

My wedding coordinator actually suggested this

The monorail - that is such a great idea!

We are using the boring old limo to get into Epcot, but then a Friendship boat will take us to the reception at the BoardWalk!

Anyone ever done the horse drawn carriage? (not the Cinderella coach-the one with only one horse). Any pics? How long do you have it for?

Anyone ever done the model Ford? It looks neat too!

Has anyone ever booked transportation with a company other than Disney?? Is this even possible??

Ceremony is at the WP Beach and reception at Atlantic Dance.

Thanks!

We used the Limo from the All Star Movies to the Poly, a golf cart to Sunset Point. Then after the ceremony, we took the limo to the Grand Floridian. After dinner, we hopped the monorail to MK, then a bus to All Stars. I have to say, the bus and Monorail were the most fun!

I would love to do one of the Friendship boats from our ceremony (Italy in
Epcot) to our reception (Atlantic Dance Hall). Can you give me an idea of the price of this transportation. Our guests will be taking the bus we will be reserving.

Thanks,
Linda

We used the limo for our wedding. I asked about using an outside service, and they do allow it but discourage it. My planner told me one situation where the bride and groom were late, because the driver got lost going from the WP to Epcot. They ended up on I-4.

Did you actually go on the Monorail and the buses with your wedding dress on? Just curious because we are doing a VR in July and I'm trying to work out our transportation. We have a limo for the ceremony and dinner, but that's it. And it looks like we will need to take the Monorail and bus to get back to our resort after dinner. I've just never seen anyone with a wedding dress on the buses, not to say it hasn't been done, but I do average 6 trips a year :rotfl: I was thinking it would be crazy for me to go on the disney monorail with my dress on, so it's really okay?? People won't think I'm crazy?? :goodvibes

Yes, I wore my dress and went on both the bus and the monorail. The monorail was so crowded that DH, and I stood. Everyone offered us a seat, but my dress was so big several people would have had to get up, so it was easier for me to just stand. It is a very short ride to MK from the grand floridian, so it was really fun. We then walked down to the busses and just got in line to wait for a bus to all star movies. We got a TON of compliments and congratulations on our way to the bus, it was so fun. On the bus, the driver had everyone clap for us and let us off of the bus first. It was fabulous!

I regret not getting a picture of us on the monorail, but here are a few of us while we are going from one mode of transportation to another:

Right after getting off the monorail. It is blurry, but I love this shot!

Getting on the bus, everyone was clapping and I got tickled and was laughing:

I have to say that people really seemed to enjoy us getting on the monorial and the bus. I had a lot of little girls come up and tell me how pretty I was, and I think the liked having someone so dressed up on the bus with them. I had a blast and am so glad that we rode both the bus and monorail.

So it is possible. We both worked there for a year so I know that place like the back of my hand. We won't get lost!!

Has anyone actually gone through with an outside service??

We are using bus transportation for our guests and a limo for us.

We are planning on taking a ride on the Monorail - not for transportation purposes - just because I think it would be so cool to do this in our wedding clothes.

We were going to be using a limo, but at the end DF surprised me with the carraige! We originally cut it out due to our budget, but I had always wanted to use it! It was an unbelievable experience and I'm so glad we did!

Now, I have no clue what it costs now, but I don't think I would say it was completely worth the 2,500 or so dollars that it cost a year ago!

Good Luck!! The vintage car is amazing as well :)
