Firstly thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to my post and gave me all their hints and tips! It's much appreciated! Now i need to choose a resort. Please tell me which one is your favourite based on best accommodation, setting, facilities etc.

I haven't voted because I've only been to Sherwood in the UK, but I would say they are all pretty similiar, other than Sherwood is more exposed to the elements, so I would probably go for one of the others,

I voted for Longleat! I've been to all three + Oasis ( I think I'm repeating myself !!), but I think it's the most scenic, set in lovely countryside with a great feeling of space.

The only (small) thing that niggled my sons was the condition of the outdoor tennis courts.

If you go there and have good weather as we did for a whole week then of course it's a great bonus!

Hi,

I also voted for Longleat. I have been to all 3 and oasis and I think Oasis is the best. Out of the CP resorts I think Longleat is the best. It is very scenic and well-kept and is the most up-to-date and spacious of them all and has the best aqua sana leisure complex.

If you live nearer Oasis, I would choose to go there, the gorgeous detached log chalets are beautifully eqipped and have so many amenities including a jacuzzi and stunning kitchen, plus Oasis is set in the Lake District and is even more stunning and beautiful than the other CP resorts.

But overall, you will not be dissapointed with Longleat, especially if you are going for long enough to actually enjoy it. At all CP resorts good weather is a massive bonus! But a weekend isn't enough in my opinion, I think 5 days - 1 week is a nice way to enjoy Center Parcs.

Richard.

Another vote for Longleat from me!! But, then again, it is the only one I've been to!

However, I liked it so much I went there three years running. It's in lovely surroundings and, apart from it being a bit hilly for some cycling, was perfect.

Have fun choosing!

Astrid

I voted for Elvedon because it's practical with the kids - everything's under one roof. If you're playing badminton say, and then want to go swimming you can just transfer directly to the pool without going out into the great British weather!

I've been to Elvedon and Longleat and while Longleat was the most beautiful it wasn't as bike friendly nor quite so practical.

So it depends what you're after - a relaxing break, beautiful scenery? Longleat.

Practical for kids, easy biking, sports all under one roof? Elvedon.

If you have kids I think Elveden is best - it is flatter for cycling and everything is pretty central. All the restaurants and bars are undercover so if its raining you can wander around comfortably.

If you don't have young kids then I'd say Longleat is the best. It has the best facilities of all the parcs and DH and I like the way you can wander around from one place to another - everything is spread out and so it is more of an adventure.

IMO Sherwood is the worst of the 3. They have been doing some renovating but it is the oldest and it shows. The dome area is not as well designed and all the restaurants etc are outside so if it is cold or rains it is a problem. Having said that its not awful or anything just not as good as the other two.

When they reopen Elveden next year I guess they will have made some improvements aswell as just rebuilding so we will definitely be going to take a look.

I have also voted for Longleat.

We first went to Centre Parcs in March 1989 and have been many times since. We have visted at all times of the year and we always have a great time whatever the weather.

Voted for Sherwood because it's the nearest to home!!!

Perhaps not the greatest of help.

We decided we'd rather spend time at the parc rather than travelling. Especially when our kids wre smaller.
