Which Castle is the prettiest?

This is my absolute favorite castle!!

I took this almost one year ago. Oh how I wish I was there right now! :sunny:

I like Cinderella's the best because Cinderella is my favorite princess. I've also seen ones at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.

I thought Sleeping Beauty's castle in DLP is the prettiest (I've been to Disneyland, WDW and DLP but not Toyko). I LOVE the architecture of it and the way it comes up out of the hillside.

The bushes/topiaries outside are trimmed square just like in the movie. The castle itself is beautiful, the back of it is really lovely also.

The inside is really unique too. There are carved/molded "tree" branches that "support" the roof. You can walk up to the upper gallery area and there are several scenes that depict the Sleeping Beauty story - tapestries, stained glass, statues, etc.
It is an open gallery so you can look down to the lower area.

They even have a "dungeon" with an animatronic dragon underneath it - I was really disappointed that it was down for refurbishment when we were there.

I have been to DL, WDW and DLP and I vote for DLP. Just amazing. (wonder how Toyko would stand up?)

Does anyone have a picture of the DLP so the rest of us can see it?
:D :D

I really love Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland. It doesn't have all the stuff in the way that is for the Cinderella stage show that detracts from the reality of it--the beauty of it. There is so much about DL that is just so much more magical. I love the water under the Dumbo ride, and Casey Jones, and Monstro, and the open air teacups, and how different toontown is, and Walt's lifestyle stuff, and New Orleans square, and Fantasmic in the heart of the park, and Captain Hook's boat/the Columbia, and Pirates is so much better with the Blue Bayou, and Club 33, and the Mattehorn, etc. etc!

(but WDW is not to be beat as a general destination, it just has so much more to the whole resort area)

(We are planning a trip to DL next year, but grandma lives twenty minutes away, so it's a given we will be going there whenever we visit her!)

I have to agree about DL having more magic. I also missed the water under Dumbo at WDW!!! We really enjoyed WDW and plan to go there about every year or so - but DL will always hold the most magic for us (and Fantasmic is better there!!!!)

The DLP castle is exquisite, I wish I could see it in person :)

AFmom, Fantasmic is soooo much better at DL! Just to see it in the middle of the park, instead of in a "theatre" setting makes it seem so much more Disney-magical. Even the storyline is different--the whole PeterPan story appeals to me much more so than the Pocahontas plot at MGM. Also the use of the "real" park boats instead of the smaller show-boat versions is nicer too.

Don't get me wrong, I still love Fantasmic at WDW--but if I had to choose one, it would be the one at DL.

Cinderella Castle in WDW. When you look down Main St. and see the castle from afar, there is no other that can compare. When you do the side view, there is no other that can compare. From the front I would say Paris is close but I still like the tallest castle of them all, Cinderella Castle in WDW.

I love Cinderella's Castle at WDW.. But after seeing the pic of Sleeping Beauties Castle in Paris, I wish I could be there to see it in person.

*Sigh* Wishing that my honeymoon were closer, so that I could be at ANY Disney attraction...princess:

Sleeping Beauty's castle is beautiful. I hope someday to go and see in person. Thanks for the picture. :D

Is there anywhere online we can see castle pics and stats (height)? Is Cinderella castle the tallest of them all?

Tough question. The chateau at DLP is beautiful but not being the biggest fan of pink, I'd say Cinderella's (as it is now...not when it was the 25th cake...again with the pink!). I remember being really disappointed as a kid seeing Sleeping Beauty's at DL because it wasn't tall. DLP's isn't that tall either. Would love to round it out and check out Tokyo but I'm waiting for Hong Kong to open and then I'll save for an eastern tour.
