So I listen to a lot of Disney podcasts (20 or so) and it got me thinking.
Did the podcast get into the travel business or did the travel business enter the podcast world?
Or did they go hand in hand from the start.
Just curious as to what people think . . . . . . . .

I see it as both.

People who were travel agents first, then starting monetized social media / YouTube / Podcast as a way to promote their existing business.

People who started monetized social media / YouTube / Podcast as a side hustle, who then leave their traditional job and set up as travel agents as a way of becoming digital nomads.

If you are talking about Dreams Unlimited Travel and the DIS Unplugged podcast, the answer is neither.
The DIS Boards, aka wdwinfo, started first. One of the hotel chains that was being recommended that they set up a travel agency so that they could receive commissions on bookings. From there it took off.
