Which building should we request at the Poly?

What would I request to have the best shot at this?

I agree with others about asking a room number. You could ask for Tokelau, high floor, north end facing lagoon. But then the room assigner could assign you anything available in Tokelau. And if nothing is available in that building, assign you to any of the other longhouses.

Does anyone have experience on the first floor (or have a specific building/building side recommendation)? We'll have a stroller and 2 little ones so sometimes the ground floor is most convenient.

We spoke to a couple with a toddler that was staying in a first floor room in Moorea and asked them what they thought of the room. They loved it, but their next stay they would refuse a 1st floor room because it was hard to control the toddler as she always wanted to run down to beach. So they found they only went out on the patio after she went to sleep. They had a great view of the castle and the fireworks.

Also once in Pago Pago we watch a dad go into one of the small elevators with a double wide jogger stroller with any problems. There was only a couple of inches to spare getting through the elevator door. He said he was used to having trouble getting his stroller in places and these elevators were a piece of cake. The three of us with the stroller rode up. There was enough room without it being claustophobic.
