Which building/rooms should I request at the BWV (preferred)?

We have a 1 bedroom villa (preferred view) at the BWV reserved, and I just learned we can request a specific area. (I realize it is not guaranteed but yet something Disney will try to honor if possible.)

Understanding the resort is spread out, which section of the preferred villas is best to request? Are there advantages to being located in one area over the other area?

What do you consider best? What type of view or location do you like?

The view is not all that important to us. Looking for the location that is more convenient. Maybe closer to the most restaurants, closer to Swan/Dolphin restaurants. I guess I'm not real sure what is more important to us but would like to understand the pros/cons to different areas.

Our view is preferred, so I assume it is the preferred garden/pool and not the preferred Boardwalk view.

I just returned from a trip and we had a pool view at the main pool. We were on floor 3. We couldn't really see the pool at all due to the size of the trees. We could just hear all the talking on the microphone that goes on during the day because they play games and stuff with the kids. Our kids are teens now so we like to relax on the balcony in the evening while they go out. This was the first time we didn't have a boardwalk view. It would have been nicer to see more than just trees.

I'm just giving you our experience, but as always, we loved our stay at the Boardwalk!!!

Maybe 1st floor and then you have several doors you can exit by...and can walk out off your patio too (just can't lock the slider behind you). We have stayed at BWV 3 times (2 pool/garden preferred view and 1 standard view)...2 times being on 1st floor and I liked that. Next year I am thinking of booking boardwalk preferred view and then I'll request a higher floor.
