I have had a breakfast ADR for Chef Mickey's for ages, and now I'm not so sure about it! I have read some bad reviews about the food and atmosphere and I'm having serious second thoughts. :confused3

We are staying for 12 nights at the Wilderness Lodge and will have already been to Crystal Palace, Akershus, Cinderella's Royal Table, Tusker House, Cape May and 1900 Park Fare - so I'm thinking that we will have had enough of character meals!

I'm looking for a monorail resort breakfast and the Wave, Kona and Grand Floridian Cafe are all available on the morning that I want.....so I would love some advice on which one (if any) should I change to. :)

If your already going to all those wonderful places, then skipping it might be a good idea. You dont want character overload. Although, even thou im not fond of the place, many ppl are, and i honestly believe everyone should experience chef mickeys at least once in their lives. If you can handle one more character meal, then go for it. The characters really are terrific!

We've run the gambit of character breakfasts thru our 44 trips to WDW and with our children grown.....the wife and I stay at the WL too, (over 10 stays there) and we're breakfast people....for our dollar, the best and cheapest buffet (no characters) is at Trail's End in FW....we hit it at least 2 times in a trip......

Loved the breakfast at Kona cafe. We had a reservation last time at Chef Mickeys and we switched to Kona (July 4th weekend that just passed). I have yet to try CM's, one day! Kona was great. I had the tonga toast, it was very good. My DH got the big kahuna (I think thats what it was called). A little bit of everything, good too. Just stay away from the bacon, it was horrible, but we don't do breakfast usually so it might be horrible everywhere. You could literally see through it :lmao: although really :confused3

Breakfast at Kona or the GFC would be good choices. We have had good meals at both. Check out the menus and decide which one appeals to you more.

Doesn't the Wave have a buffet at breakfast now? They do entrees as well. If I were looking for a non-character breakfast, I'd pick that one!

I have only been to Chef M's years ago, and we're doing it again for my DS's birthday...but if it were not his birthday, I'd surely try the Wave!
