We are planning our trip for this year and someone suggested the boardwalk - we went over last year one evening and it was fun with all the magicians and acts ...

So which resort at this location is the best / preferred?

The only resort at the Boardwalk is the Boardwalk Inn. There is also The Villas at the boardwalk (DVC property). The others close by are the Beach Club and Yacht Club. I see you have smaller children and would suggest the Beach Club - the pool there is fabulous!

Enjoy!

We've stayed at all the Epcot resorts and considering we have young children we highly prefer Beach Club. It has a character breakfast and an awesome sandy-bottom pool area for the youngsters. This was the only pool area where we could relax because we knew our kids wouldn't get hurt if they took a tumble being that they'd land on the sand. You can walk over to the boardwalk each and every day/night in about 5 minutes to enjoy the activities over there! It's a wonderful area to stay. Have fun!

I was just looking at the previews of Boardwalk, Beach, and Yacht Club - my daughter (4) said "omg thats awesome" when she seen the big clown waterslide at Boardwalk Inn.

A vote here for the Boardwalk. We haven't tried the Beach Club or Yacht Club but can only say good things about the Boardwalk. Great resort and great staff especially on the club level.:thumbsup2 Can't wait to be back next month to visit our home away from home!:cloud9:

I really like all three Epcot resort, and have a hard time choosing between them, so here's my strategy. When it's cold (December, January) I tend to book the Boardwalk Inn, because while it's too cold to swim, the waterside activities in the Boardwalk area are fun and inviting. When it's hot (June, July) I book the Beach Club, because of the Stormalong Bay and the white sand beachfront. When it's in-between, the Yacht Club is a refreshing change, and I love strolling out to the lighthouse to catch a "Friendship" when a cool autumn or spring breeze is blowing!

Very good strategy. One of the main draws of BC is the pool, so it makes sense to stay there when the pool can be utilized to the fullest extent.

We have only stayed in the Epcot resorts because of the locations. It is so easy to walk to Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studio's. Our first trip we stayed at BeachClub, second trip we stayed at BoardWalk Inn. This next trip we are going back to BeachClub.
At the BeachClub you can't beat the pool. Our children are 17 and 14, and they love the pool. The Shipwreck slide is awesome, the lazy river part is fun, the sand bottom pool and the beach area is fun to build sand castles in, plus it is laid out in such a large area. The BoardWalk pool is fun, but the pictures on line lead you to believe that its larger then it really is. The clown slide is fun but so is the shipwreck slide and to me the slide both compare the same.
One thing that we found that we didn't care for was that you had to walk to the BoardWalk to eat, and at the BeachClub the Snack bar is located inside the BeachClub gift shop, Beach's and Cream Ice Cream Parlor is by the pool plus CapeMay is located in the lobby.
But in the whole realm of things your at DisneyWorld what could be funnier.....:yay:
Have a great time...

We've stayed at all of them:

We love that area..but love the pool at stormalong bay at Beach/Yacht...

But Between yacht/beach club....We prefer Yacht Club because Beach Club does not have many full size balconies.....

Boardwalk Villas boardwalk views have the best views thoughout DISNEY.

Biased since we're DVC owners at BWV. You might want to check out the DVC rent/trade board to see if a DCV BWV owner would want to rent you a villa room. The only problem is once you stay in a 1 bedroom or larger villa it's hard to go back to a regular room.
