Which Boardwalk area is better?

For now, we are trying to choose between Ocean City, MD or Wildwood, NJ.

We are looking for one that has rides, games, decent food just lots of stuff to keep the kids happy and busy. And looks good at night. And safety is important too.

Also looking that it has nice hotels right in that BW area. And what would you recommend as far as something clean?

Hope I'm not looking for too much.

Maryland is much cleaner! Better yet Delaware beaches!

Are you sure you aren't confusing Ocean City, MD with Ocean City, NJ? Wildwood is about 25 miles further south down the NJ Turnpike from OC, NJ. OC, NJ has one of the safest, cleanest boardwalks & beaches around. They also have rides, games, etc., but not as much as Wildwood.

I was just looking at OC, MD because we are going to be on our way to DC. Hope that's not too many abbreviations. But I was just thinking that maybe it be better to stay within that area. So now I'm not sure. Again.

Just want something clean, safe and family friendly.

I LOVE Ocean City, NJ. It's a good time and very clean and safe.

WE go to Ocean City,NJ all the time as we have family there. Just went this past weekend. Another note is that it is a dry town so you cannot purchase alcohol there. This adds to the family atmosphere IMHO. There are also a lot to do around there..Cape May zoo etc. There are a bunch of good restaurants and the hotels/motels are descent. My kids 7 and 2 absolutely love it there.

Prefer OC MD to Wildwood. If you plan to go on the beach, it's a MUCH shorter walk to the water from the boards in OC MD than Wildwood.

I would rate the boardwalk about the same - Ocean City's is longer.

We are going to OC MD this weekend for the Air Show. Can't wait!!!
