Everyone who has used priceline, I need some more help. I've written down all of the hotels that seem to be coming up for 3* at WDW vicinity & Universal. All of them seem great. Since we are going to both places, what would your opinion be? Should I go with 3* at WDW vicinity or Universal to get the best hotel.

Thanks again,
Lori

We prefer the Universal area because it is a newer area and the hotels are generally newer. In the past we've stayed at the Wyndham on I-Drive and loved it. We've also tried 2.5* in the Universal area and gotten the Amerisuites (on Caravan Court and I-Drive/Convention Center) and the Wellesley Inn and Suites (Southpark). We actually prefer the 2.5* because they have a refrigerator, microwave, free breakfast, etc. Of course, there's no way to guarantee this but we've been very lucky. The one time we bid for a last night and couldn't get Universal and added Disney we got the Renaissance on 192. It was okay but we definitely prefer the Wyndham for the same $$$.

If you are going to both........... I would stay at the one that I could get the better rate at. Thru Priceline, I have stayed at the Wyndham on I-Drive & the Sheraton World (both 3*'s) & loved the Wyndham (Universal zone). In the Disney zone, I have stayed at Rennissance World (which would be far from US/IOA), Hyatt Orlando & Grovsner (3* thru Priceline) and Wyndham Palace & Swan (4*) as well as CBM, BW Lake Buena Vista (both 2 1/2* and in Down Town Disney) and the CBM in Little Lake Bryan (2 1/2*). I would reccommend any of them..... just depending on where you can get the best rate & want to go the most.....WDW or US/IOA ;)
