Does guardians go upside down at all?
No.Does guardians go upside down at all?
There are a lot of banked curves for sure! No.
Maybe it was just me, but I felt like I was on the side most of the time.
This thread contains a lot of helpful information.I am trying to decide if we should go on Guardians of the Galaxy. We don’t enjoy Expedition Everest because the backwards motion makes us feel dizzy.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
I did Everest once and won't again because of the backwards part. I just remember thinking to myself, "It's gonna be over soon, it's gonna be over soon," and it just wouldn't end. It felt so unnatural. I LOVED the backwards part on Guardians! I did have to close my eyes a few times later on the ride bc I was getting a little disoriented- mostly when it's really dark and there are no big visuals to focus on. My 9 year old was positively green after riding on Everest and was good to go after Guardians.I LOVE the Guardians ride, I've been on it 30+ times by now and enjoy every time. I really like the backwards part of the ride too, although sometimes going up the hill and turning does get me a tad busy a little. I've never done Everest as I'm afraid of the backwards section on there. I've assumed it's way more intense since you're going in a helix fast, and it's longer. Which ride would you say has the more intense backwards portion? Should I do Everest? It seems more thrilling.
I do not get motion sickness on Everest, UNLESS I ride multiple times in a row (after 3 times, I was feeling it,) I do get a slight discombobulated feeling after riding, not queasy. But, I did get queasy on Hagrids, and sometimes on other rides that go backwards, including Guardians. For GotG, I don't think it was the backwards though, I think it was the constant turning, rotating while also on the coaster track. It reminded me more of Forbidden Journey at Universal but as a roller coaster, and I can't ride FJ anymore. So to me, while the backwards part of EE is more intense, Guaridans made me queasy, and EE does not. Everyone is so very different on what they can tolerate. Guardians is an awesome ride though. I'd still give it a try.Is there anyone who is OK with Everest, but not Guardians, in terms of motion sickness? I can just about tolerate Everest without seasickness meds, but have not yet ridden Guardians and I have quite a bit of trepidation about it.
If I was going to have motion issues it would be with Guardians, not EESeems like I'm in the minority here, but I felt that Guardians was much more disorienting and more 'intense' than EE. I didn't get sick on Guardians (used Bonine), but I don't think I could've handled another ride on it during the same day. I was able to ride EE twice fairly close together with no issues at all. I think it's the 'free' motion and screens that get me.
