Getting really excited for my trip that's just 2 weeks away! We'll be in Magic Kingdom over 2 days - our arrival day (landing mid-day and hopefully in the park early afternoon) and another full day. We've got out FP+ selections all picked out and now I need to decide a strategy for what to do at Rope Drop for my MK morning. I'll be traveling with my cousin who is NOT a thrill ride person. We're skipping Big Thunger, Splash M and Space M.

Our FP+ for MK already include Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, SDMT, and Winnie the Pooh.

I really wanted to rope drop Peter Pan but I'm so bummed it will be closed during our trip. So my question is - what do rope drop that day? It's a Saturday and looks like the most crowded day of the trip. Maybe just knock out as much of Fantasyland as we can?

Depends, what are your FPs for the first afternoon? For example if you're doing Haunted Mansion, Pirates or Jungle Cruise that first day, I'd rope drop one of them again the second day. That's assuming you're not looking to rope drop stuff like Space Mountain or Splash.

I would've said Peter Pan until I saw it won't be available to you. Second choice would probably be 7DMT--it's fun and interesting enough I'd want to do it twice if possible.

We're in MK two days in a few weeks as well. I've been looking at wait times each day about once an hour for the park I'll be in. We have the same FPs you do as we aren't riding anything for riders over 38 inches!

I'm not sure the best strategy but I'm amazed that people start at rides with kind of long waits, when you could start at the back of Fantasyland and work your way forward. The exception maybe WTP after the first hour. People really wait in line for an hour for Pooh!? That's probably the one I'd rope drop. Also, seems like IASWwait times have risen since PP closed.

Maybe start with Pooh, head to BS Dumbo, LM, ISASW, depending on how that works with your FP. Last Saturday was insane. Check the app this Saturday though.

Sorry, ETA I thought you had Buzz. I'd start with Buzz then AO if she's interested in that, then WTP.

If you're not interested in doing 'the mountains' this trip, the only FP that might be hard to get an additional same-day fast pass for is 7DMT. Therefore, I'd probably do that at RD so you can get a second ride in. Everything else should be available if you refresh.

That said, most people who RD at MK are going to 7DMT, so if you're not interested in getting there early to be at the head of the pack or just don't want to deal with those crowds, I'd say go for Buzz Lightyear at RD. It's fun and maybe the only mid-tier not on your list.

Last week we rope dropped with a family that had two little boys. They had a 10:00 Winnie the Pooh FP. We rope dropped Buzz, then did Barnstormer, Dumbo and Teacups all before 10.
