Which area do you prefer at SSR and why?

I only stayed there once, in Grandstand, and liked my location very much.
I overlooked the golf course, so it was private and quiet. Yet I was near the quiet pool and pool bar, and relatively near the main bldg.
So, I would like that spot again. But a DTD view, and close walk to that would be nice.
Where have you stayed, and what do you recommend?

We prefer the Grandstand. The only other section that we have really stayed in was the Paddocks and we hated it.

like to stay at congress park because you can walk to DTD and you have a nice view over the water to DTD.

We're Congress Park fans. Upper floor with a DTD view. Nice quiet pool...and dare I say the rockers looking toward DTD. I've also had a solo stay in the Grandstand building on the golf course across from the THV. I wouldn't ming staying there again. The fountain view, golf course and looking out toward the THV was very peaceful.

Congress Park. Love the pool there, the views of Downtown Disney, especially at night.

Love, love, love Congress Park. We were there 2 weeks ago for our 4th stay in Congress Park. Love the pool, the view at night and the easy walk to DTD.

We stayed in congress park with two teens and loved it. It was quiet and that downtown Dis view at night was great. The boys enjoyed the quick walk or boat ride to the downtown area alot especially to Disney Quest. My wife and I would walk over for snacks or a meal often.

We love Congress Park for the same reasons. Dh and the boys love Walking over and spending their evenings at DQ.

Have stayed in Congress Park 3 times and the Springs 3 times. Depends on who is with me. When the parents or the grandkids are along, love the Springs because it is close to the big pool and gift shop. When it's just me or me and a friend or 2, then Congress Park does have the best views (from the 2 bedrooms... Studio, we looked directly into a couple of trees) and an easy walk to DTD...

We just got back and stayed at the Grandstand...building to the right of the pool. We loved it...room 8830, 1 BDR. Easy walk to the main building, 1st bus stop except for Downtown Disney. This was especially convenient coming back from the parks late at night with crowed buses (all the offsiters parking at DTD-another topic!). Easy walk to the bus stop also....missing Disney already!!

Grandstand and Congress Park would by my favorite. The quiet pool at both sections is nice but the Grandstand pool does have refreshments available.

If you are fortunate you could get a high floor view of DTD when in Congress Park. At night it is really cool to see DTD lit up.

We love Congress Park, but are gonna try and request the Paddock once the new theme pool and q/s place are built there.

Toss up between Congress Park and the Grandstand.

Congress Park will always have a special place in our hearts as we stayed there on our first stay as DVC Members. We love the pool and hot tub overlooking DTD, the convenience to DTD, and the view.

The Grandstand is a bit closer to the Carriage House and the AP, has a wonderfully themed pool (and bonus pool bar!) and is first on the bus route (both drop off and pick up).

Depends on our mood where we request to stay. Our last two trips have been at CP...maybe this time we will try to go the Grandstand route... 2 1/2 week countdown for us!

Congress Park - so close to all those great restaurants in Downtown Disney! Good for shopping too.

DH and I are "Congress Park Snobs" We love CP. It's a short walk to DTD, the quiet pool and hot tub are quite fun and it's not that bad of a walk to the Carriage House.
