Which app has most accurate wait times for rides?

ive been happy in the past few years with touring plans vs. MDX. My next trip is only three days long (MNSSHP, universal, MK/EP) Should I bother buying TP for a short trip, or has MDX been improved? Are there other apps that are better? In a short trip we just want to keep the waiting to a minimum, especially since my husband's feet hurt with too much standing, though not enough for an ECV.

I used MDE and it was very accurate. Even while at home I check sometimes just for kicks....plus it helps me get my Disney fix... but when we were there August 10-21, I would walk by attractions and check the app and they were spot on.

MDE matches the posted wait times but I don't think it's the most accurate for actual wait time. The touring plans lines ap is the best for that I believe.

I don't want this to sound sarcastic but your eyes are your best bet. I've found just looking at the line for about a minute is going to tell you how fast it's moving. You do have to know how the line actually snakes around inside but we don't even look at the posted wait times at the ride, just watch the line.

Not sarcastic at all! I guess I will use it more like...we are in adventureland, but want to see if buzz has a long wait, if it does we don't want to walk over there. I get you, in that case I'd probably just use MDE, I wouldn't feel like paying either.

Ditto, MDE is going to match exactly the posted wait times. BUT....how accurate are those posted wait times? I think Disney inflates the wait times....therefore, I think TP is actually more accurate when it comes to the ACTUAL wait time, not the POSTED wait time.

That is very true. Space Mountain, for example, can be extremely deceiving if someone has not been there before, because what looks like a short line outside is actually a 2 hour wait with lines that take you into the actual waiting area and then coils and coils and coils and coils........ if you've been there before and see people waiting outside Space Mountain, you know exactly what is going on inside. Other rides, like the Peter Pan Flight ride, are more obvious. I do like the MDE app, but also like the Touring Plans. However, you have to subscribe for the latter one to get full access.

Ok maybe I am convinced to buy it again. I've had it on our other trips, but really only need the app, not their other services this time. Side note their service requesting your room on property is great! We got our first choice last Halloween.

Touring plans was pretty much spot on our last trip which was the first time we've used it. We got in a couple of lines we never would have with the MDE and real posted times. Worth every penny, personally, just for those couple of rides (one being 7DMT)
