Which All Star Resort?

I will be at WDW Nov 15-19th and I have a reservation for All Star Movies. I am concerned I made the wrong choice. I heard that the food court at All Star Music has been recently refurbished...because of that, is it enough to switch ressie to stay at Music? Then there is All Star Sports which has the advantage of being the first bus stop of the three AS Resorts. I just don't know what to do and I would so appreciate some advice. No need to suggest POP or AoA because I have a special discount code for one of the All Stars, so my choice is narrowed to those three.

Which AS resort most recently had their rooms refurbed?

Thank you in advance for any advice given!

You'll be fine at Movies.:)

Movies was the last of the 3 All-Stars to be built and was "plussed" a little over Sports and Music(larger Bus Stop;larger, nicer Lobby;larger, nicer Merchandise shop;larger, nicer Pool Bar).

Sport's and Music's food courts have both been rebuilt,BUT Movie's food court is still just as nice if not better.:)

The bus sharing is not a big deal.:)

Agree with PP. Stay at Movies, enjoy the very Disney decor and if you want walk over to the other food courts. Music is our least favorite value and not Disney-fied, I wouldn't stay for the food court when you can easily walk.

One other concern...I have read that the rooms at All Star Movies were given some of the worse soundproof ratings. Is sound really that big of an issue at All Star Movies?

I agree with everyone above, there is no large difference between the three other than outside décor and don't worry about the bus situation. You only share during the middle of the day when the crowd levels are low. I always stay at All Star Music and I can hardly remember sharing buses ever. I was there this past February and we shared once in a 7 day stay. The best part of staying at the All Stars is you are close to each other and can walk back and forth to share pools, dining options, etc. I cannot speak to the sound quality of Movies as, like I said, I always stay at Music, but I have been there for cheerleaders, dance teams, football and band competitions and have NEVER had any problems with noise. Yes, if you are on the floor level and have someone standing outside your room talking loudly you will hear them. Best advice, get a room on an upper level. Good luck and enjoy.

I happen to like Sports because of the layout of the buildings. Everything just feels close. Could be an illusion :) But I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three. I totally agree about the buses- sharing is not all the time, and not a big deal at all. Love the All-Stars.

My first All Star Music stay is coming up. I'm excited about trying the All Stars! I have stayed at Pop, POFQ, POR, KV, WL and BLT. All levels of resorts. My opinion for all of these resorts is that any noise problems we had came through the connecting doors - even when both were closed tightly. Requests aren't guaranteed, but I always try for a non-connecting room on the top floor.

Have a fun trip!!

At ANY value resort, you want TOP floor, NOT facing the pool. The worst noise I've ever experienced at WDW resort is both stays at the high dollar Kidani--with AoA being a distant second. Give me the All Stars or Pop any day!!!

I LOVE Movies! Stayed there TWICE and loved it both times. Get second story though.
Both times we stayed we stayed in the "Fantasia" area. It's close to the pool and we weren't bothered at all.
Many people opt for the Toy Story area..
Movies has lots to offer, and the MAIN pool (Fantasia) is awesome. Right next to the food court. Plus they have movies that they show there on a screen that they pull out. AAAAANNNND the spirits bar which is adjoined to the food court (but on the outside of it) is RIGHT by the pool.

I love it...love it!!!!
And I think you will to! :)

ALL the values are built the same except for the suites at AoA so moving to another would not change the sound at all in terms of the design of the buildings.

I would avoid bottom floor so that you don't hear everyone walking by and surely would not want to face a pool. The closer you are to the main hub the more people noise you will get.

And close the bathroom door at night-that cuts down on toilet flushing noise from the neighbors.:)

We just came back from a weekend at All Star Movies. We were only on the second floor, but, we weren't facing the pool. It wasn't noisy where we were, but, we bring our laptop and listen to either rain or fan noise which pretty much covers up any sound anyways.
