Which All-Star? and Why?

Hi all! I have been to WDW 20 times and never stayed at an All-star resort. I have heard everything from praise to nightmare stories. We are really considering one for a fall trip this year to save some $$$. My question is which resort is better - Movies or Music? I had relatives stay at Sports and they were told the others are better. Any help you can give is appreciated.

We usually stay at Coranado. How would they compare?

Thanks

The Movies is my favorite because I am more interested in the movie theme. It depends on what makes you the happiest. To me there is nothing better than being in a Toy Story building! I also like the food court better at the Movies. The All Stars do not have the same offerings. Music had some kind of beef roast and Movies had the most wonderful prime rib!

We always stay at Sports but if I had to choose between Movies or Music, it would be Movies. The bus service seems to be better to Movies and the food court has more selection. Have fun.

jiminyfan,

If the other All-Stars are better than Sports, it won't make a difference... We've stayed at All-Star Sports 2x, a full week each time. I have nothing but positive comments... It's not the Taj Mahal, but you're paying rock bottom prices to stay on-site.

Have a Magical vacation!

I have stayed at all three All Star Resorts, and actually just returned from a vacation down there on March 16th... and I have to say that I think the Movies is the best. The Music and Sports are nice too, but since the Movies is newer I have recommend it. The decorations are more detailed at the Movies.

We stayed at the Movies last September and I'm staying there again this September. Have stayed at Music once before, but really enjoyed Movies better. We stayed in the Buzz building, which worked out great. We faced a nice courtyard and could see Andy's Room & Woody. We were very close to the main pool, as well as the foodcourt. We were also close to the side parking lot, which made carrying sleeping kids a quick walk. When the door was closed, it was very quiet. The housekeeper had our room cleaned before noon each day and we found the food in the foodcourt to be some of the best we had. Considering how much time we actually spent in the room, it was a great value for us. The kids loved playing in Andy's room. Below is a link to some pictures I took last September and there are several of the All Star Movies. We've stayed in some of the deluxe resort (used to be a CM, so we got it at a discount), but find the moderates and the All Stars are great for us too. Considering how little time you are actually in the room, I'd rather use the money for other things, like souvies or some nice sit-down meals.

We have stayed at Movies and Music and I have to say we really liked Movies better. It just seemed cleaner and newer and we felt the theming was so much better. We stayed in the Toy Story Woody building overlooking Andy's room. The kids loved playing in Andy's room.

Thanks for your opinions, it looks like we are going to try Movies.:bounce:
