Orlando or Sanford?

Pros and Cons?

We can get a really cheap flight (trip is in Sept. 2015) but is the cheap price worth it to pay for a shuttle to Walt Disney World Resorts??

Any help is appreciated!

We have been to both. Do the math and see which one will be cheaper option for you. We rented a car and return it at the dolphin when we flew into Sanford. The other advantage is not having to worry about picking up your luggage if you fly into Orlando (if you are flying in the participating airlines). It will be up to you if convenience win over saving money.

Most airlines flying into Sanford have limited schedules. If your flight is cancelled, you could have problems.

Allegiant has flights out of my local airport twice a week. One on Wednesday, one on Sunday. If I'm booked on a Wednesday flight and it gets canceled, I'm stuck until Sunday and I miss 4 days of my trip. Or, if my return flight gets canceled, I'm stuck in Florida for an extra 3 or 4 days that I didn't plan for. For me, the risk isn't worth it. I'll either fly a bigger airline or drive.

Have you considered flying into Tampa? It's not a bad drive as long as you avoid rush hour and we saved hundreds of dollars even with renting a car.

Yeah we dont want this to happen either. That is why I was asking. I can get this flight for $130.00 round trip, but getting stuck and not getting back to work on time could be a problem. Thanks!

All of these reasons are valid and exactly what I will be worrying about in June when I fly into Sanford on Allegiant. The rental car will even out to be the same as a shuttle for 5 of us. It's a risk with a small carrier because when the plane breaks down you are stuck,,,no refunds, no guarantee of another flight. The price was too good

Yes and if the next flight is full you could be stuck for an extra week. Not worth it in my opinion. I would guess they would have to fly in an extra plane since there is no way they could ever rebook everyone from the canceled flight to the next available one.

I see you're in IL too. I just booked a last minute (in Disney terms) trip for the third week in March leaving from Milwaukee on Southwest. It was $113 each way to MCO this week. I usually fly out of Milwaukee because it's cheaper for both the ticket and parking. Plus the airport is really nice and super easy to get in and out of. Have you checked flying out of there?

Thanks. I will check this out. But since we are not going until Sept most airlines are not booking yet. I have to wait
Until March unless we go with Allegiant.
