LAX ~ Hate it - huge, crowded, long/traffic drive to DLR, our taxi van last time we flew in & out of LAX was $100 each way ~ 3 adults, 3 children.
LGB ~ Love it - small, less expensive for me to fly in & out of, easy drive to DLR ~ last time we flew in & out of LGB our private car service was $45 each way - 3 adults, 2 children.
We did not enjoy getting into the Ontario airport. It was far away and cost a ton with Super Shuttle.
I did enjoy flying into SNA, and it was only $10 (before the $2 discount through the Entertainment Book) for Super Shuttle. Only moments away from DLR.
But I'm looking into LAX and LGB, and even Burbank, too right now, trying to find the best balance between flights (I'm only flying OUT of the area), cost, and transportation cost (and what time I have to leave the parks to catch my flight!). Not easy!
John wayne hands down!!! It is super close, like 20 mins to disneyland! And it is a small airport that is super EASY to get around. I will only fly into another airport if we can't find flights we want to SNA.
SNA/John Wayne/Orange County/Santa Ana = the only airport we ever use for our southern california trips. Even if it costs more than other airports, it's worth it.

Avoid Burbank like the Plague!!! I hate, hate, hate that drive from Anaheim to the airport. I am sure the airport is perfectly nice. It is the drive on I 5 that is miserable. It is a horrid freeway that is only 2 lanes each way most of the way and always seems really backed up. It took us an hour and a half to get from Garden Grove to Burbank in March. There was a ton of construction and lots of slow downs for no apparent reason.
It was the cheapest for us, too. Although LGB and Jetblue were very close in price. I just didn't have any experience with either of them. That is great that it was easy for you to go from Burbank to Anaheim. Wish it had been that way for us!
