Which airport?

I've been trying to price a DL trip and have been checking out flights leaving from NYC and can't figure out which would be the best airport to fly into. Any recommendations? Thanks.

John Wayne (airport code SNA) is the closest to DL, otherwise Long Beach (LGB), LAX (LAX heh), Ontario (ONT), Burbank (BUR). I think there might be one more, but I don't remember

Hi, we are laving from JFK to Longbeach airport in August, Ive heard it is the better option than SNA because there is less traffic...have fun I know we are looking forward to our trip...

I would price the flight from the different airports. You may be suprised at the price difference.

I would try for John Wayne. It's the closest and it's easy to navigate. Long Beach is also a good choice, but it's a smaller airport. Tickets prices are probably higher because of that. LAX is, well, LAX. I grew up in So Cal and I HATE LAX. Way too many people, I don't like driving around/through it, security check lines can be real long. Tickets are probably cheapest through LA, but think about your time also. Ontario isn't a bad choice, but it's further from DL. Burbank will cause you to drive through LA traffic. Hope this helps.

Just chiming in to say John Wayne/Santa Ana is closest. Long Beach is next closest and is a TINY airport but Jet Blue flies into there. Ontario is next I think and it is the airport we use at it is closest to us. John Wayne and Ontario are both smallish airports...maybe under 20 gates?

I would try to avoid LAX and Burbank as they are both going to require travelling a longer ways on the busiest freeways. Additionally LAX is HUGE and seems to take forever. LAX might have better car rental deals though, through the non-national agencies like Fox.

if you are near JFK in NYC then take Jetblue into ONT.

we are taking Jetblue into Long Beach, from all the research Ive done,It seems the closest and most convienient airport near DLR,that is serviced by Jetblue
