Which Airline?

Which airline do you feel is better to fly on, Delta or America West? We've never flown on A/W and am wondering how their leg room is. I know Delta, so anybody flown A/W, how is it? We fly from Reno, NV so it's a long flight and leg room really matters. Any other comments would be great also.

I flew on America West a couple years ago and they seemed to have the same legroom as most of the majors.. Is American Airlines a possibility for you in Reno? If you are really concerned about legroom, they have set up all their planes with "More Room Through Coach" which will give you a couple more inches than most of the majors. (It makes a big difference.) We flew them in January and I was actually able to cross my legs which I have not been able to do for years..

If the price is the same or close, I would certainly take Delta. You may even be able to upgrade the long flight to first class for $50 at the gate. Well worth it, too.
