Which in your opinion is best - American Airlines, Virgin, or British Airways ?
I know AA don't go direct, but they have more legroom, so is it worth putting up with the stop to get the extra legroom

personally I prefer direct to extra leg room, but if the price is right we will fly with anybody. We went with KLM/Northwest last year and had to change in Amsterdam - it was no big deal, and I have to say we had acres of legroom compared with a charter.

I haven't flown BA to Orlando, but I've flown with them to New York quite a few times and they are fine - nothing special but you get fed, you get a movie or two, and the drinks are free.

Hi Alex,

We flew BA to Orlando and we were very happy with them. We would have no problems flying with them again.

We have just booked to fly with Virgin in Dec 2003 as they were cheaper than BA this time.

We have flown with all those airlines,in my opinion American was best, British airways 2nd and the only good thing I could say about Virgin is that they did fly direct.
American airways did upgrade us for free as well one way..
We have just flown with British Midland from Manchester via Washington. They was absolutely fantastic, we had quite a bit of Turbulence which I really dislike and I feel motion sickness. The cabin crew were brilliant, I refused meals. They even brought the on board chef from first class to see if he could cook up something for me. The price was good too booked with Trailfinders it cost around £250 plus tax about £285.

Ive had an email from Bon Voyage to say that the American Airlines flight goes via Dallas, and can take a long time, but for £40 extra in total there is a BA flight which goes direct, so I think I'll go with that.
I just hope they don't sell out before Xmas, because I don't think I'll be able to persude DH to pay the £300 deposit until we've got Xmas out of the way

Alex, It is still worth shopping around, I found our flights with trailfinders was around £40 cheaper than elsewhere. Also you only pay £25 deposit, I tried everyone on line and the price they quoted could not be beaten. I dont know where you live but they have branches all over the country, it is worth giving them a ring.

HI Lynda :D
I've just rang them and the quotes for 2 adults and 1 child were-
Virgin - £955
United Airlines via Washington - £801

The quote from Bon Voyage for BA is £773

Do you know any other companys that offer good flight prices ?

Hi Alex,

The flights with BA are obviously better value for you. The United /Washington flight is the one we have just done. The first leg is a code share flight and is operated by British Midland, we found them to be great. Lots of leg room 32" minimum, choices of meals, free drinks etc.
