:earboy2: hi, has anyone flown on delta song? or jetblue? what do you recommend for 2 yr old's first flight. both of these airlines have tv's. thanx!

I would love to fly Delta Song but unfortunately they don't fly out of our airport. We flew regular ol' Delta and used our laptop. DS watched Lilo and Stitch (until the battery ran out, anyway), and the rest of the time we entertained him with books, small toys, and food. He also liked to put on the little headphones and watch whatever "horizons" show they were playing, LOL. Since we're basically confined to our seats for a very long flight, I didn't mind doing out of the ordinary things to entertain him. As long as he is happy, so are we. :-)

Song's site has a list of channels (Dish network) and it looks like they have up to 10 movies on demand as well. You can sample it here: http://www.flysong.com/song_experience/entertainment/index.jsp

Looks like Jetblue offers DirectTV I think you'll be fine with either airline. Just make sure you have some snacks for the little one as you don't know what they'll be serving (and you'll be at the mercy of waiting on the FA to get to your seat with the cart).

Cheryl

I fly which ever is least expensive. Both Song and Jetblue seem to be equivilent. Both have friendly, efficient flight attendents, onboard TV's, Movies, food. The only difference I see is which terminal they use. OH and Jetblue uses over the head earphones, Song uses earbuds. I just kept the Jetblue ones and use them for each flight, I have used them for over 5 flights.

Jetblue's entry door and seats start right behind the door to the pilots door. Song has a forward and rear parts of the plane. Go with the least expensive for each leg of the trip. I often fly out on one and fly back on the other. You can get better prices doing this frequently. I am flying out on Jetblue for $79 Song wanted $124. and flying return on Song $69 Jetblue wanted $104.

Have a great trip no matter which you choose.

Went to WDW last October with DS (5.5 yrs old) and DD (just 2) and LOVED it. The kids had a great time. We brought snacks for DD, and she munched and watched cartoons, while DS also snacked but was more interested in exactly where the plane was flying, outside temperature, etc. The TVs made the time go by so much quicker. We used our portable DVD player on the way back, but the kids were asleep in about 15 minutes, so it was hardly worth lugging along. Looking forward to another fine flight with Song this October! :cheer2:

I've flown bopth and think they are pretty comparable. i would go with which ever one was cheaper.

We are taking Jet Blue for the 1st Time both ways in May to go to WDW.
Just because my husband wanted to try it. I have heard only good thigs about JetBlue. Which is good for me because I'm so scared to fly. Never liked it and still don't like it. But its the fastest way to get to WDW for us. Which I keep telling myself. I have not heard much about Delta Song. But that sounds good as well.I agree go with whatever is the cheapest for you. & your family. 29 more days and counting until our WDW trip! :cool1:

thanks everyone! we ended up booking w/ delta song. it turned out to be $100 cheaper then jetblue. i guess we'll wait and see how everything goes! can't wait to go !!!!! :earboy2:
