Hi Guys -

We will be in Disney end of January and we are just doing the QSD this time around. However, I am going to pay oop for one sit down meal. I have two ADRS schedued. One for character breakfast at Liberty Tree our first full day there and the second for Sci Fi Diner. Never been to either place. We have a 4 year old son. Did 2 character meals last trip this past Oct.

Thoughts please.

Hey ... this is my 100 post! I really need to get a hobby. hee hee

I've yet to try Liberty Tree, but I don't think there's anything at Sci Fi that would enthrall your 4-year-old. It's just not that exciting IMHO (food nor atmosphere). My kids didn't really "get it" at all (they were 6 and 4 I think.)

If you had pre-teens, I might tell you something different. But I would much rather eat breakfast in the MK and see a few characters to boot! Just my opinion.

Keep LTT! Sci-Fi is ok, but not enough to keep a small child involved. Food is good at both though.

I would keep Liberty Tree Tavern, love the meal and the outfits the characters wear :) We love Sci-Fi too, but if I had to choose it would be LTT.

I agree - keep LTT! We love it there, and we think the food is much better!

Definitely LTT! Sci-Fi has a fun atmosphere, but have never been overly impressed with their food. LTT has very good food, and great service.

I say keep LTT too! It is not a character meal anymore, but since CP is closed for renovations, they are making LTT back a character meal but for a limited time, You should definitely experience it, the characters are great and the food is delicious! We are trying sci fi for the first time this year I will post a review in my TR!

I think your son will really enjoy the character meal. Have a great trip!!!

The food at liberty tree is a million times better than Sci-Fi. Liberty Tree will be more expensive so I'd use the dining plan for LT.

Sci-Fi is cheaper.... if you wanted to keep Sci-Fi too, I'd recommend getting burgers, fries and onion rings which is not expensive and just pay for it. Having been to Sci-Fi once, I'd be afraid to try anything but the basic burgers and fries. The ribs were disgusting.

But if the characters are still at Liberty Tree (while Crystal Palace is being refurbished), to me that's a no-brainer. Enjoy Liberty Tree. Get the Pot Roast! And the desserts are very delicious there too! There's one dessert with shortbread that was incredible.

We LOVE Sci-Fi for lunch (we've always had excellent food and service), but with a little one, I'd do the character meal at Liberty (I assume this is the one taking over for Crystal Palace during its rehab).

Another vote for LTT. I also have a 4 year-old and my philosophy is get the character meals in now while it's still a big thrill for her. Plus it's a unique opportunity to do a character breakfast at LTT since it's just a temporary thing. Enjoy:goodvibes.

Again,LTT.

SciFi is ok for lunch and they have good burgers, but they are not that much better than CS burgers, it is very dark ("Where'd my food go?!?", and pricy for what you get. Fun to do once or every few trips at most, but having been there we won't be back any time soon.

LTT, on the other hand, has all sorts of great food for lunch or dinner. We prefer lunch so we can choose from the menu. We LOVE the desserts, too. The Triple Chocolate Brownie and the Berry Shortcake are fantastic and huge.

I loved lunch at SciFi, and will go there again next time I am in WDW, but with a 4 year old, I'd go with Liberty Tree Tavern for the character meal. I've never had breakfast there, though.
