Just curious what most people book the majority of the time, not taking into account when they book larger rooms for when extended family or friends are traveling with you (Unless that is the norm.)...

Just two of us and we almost always stay in a one bedroom. It's nice if one gets up earlier or goes to bed later than the other, you can watch TV ,surf the web,etc without being a disturbance.

At this point our plan is to alternate between a 1br and studio to stretch our points and get as many trips as we can while still enjoying the benefits of DVC.

In about 4 years we will probably change our approach....as we'll have a 3rd child over 3, and our oldest will be a teenager. Since we'll have to get a 2 br we might start bringing guests with us more often, as well.

I voted varies. It really depends on the trip. Last year, we stayed in a 1 bedroom at BCV. We found we did most of our eating out -- even breakfast. So, this upcoming October, we're going to try a studio at VWL.

The one "consist" in our travels will be HH. We will always get a 2 bedroom as we spend a lot more time in the villa. It's nice to be able to spread out. At WDW, we haven't found we've been cramped (yet). Our kids are 3 & 8. I'm sure as they get older, the studio won't be an option for our family.

We used to stay in a studio when I was a grad student and had loads of vacation time. Now that I just started a new job and we only have time for a week of WDW a year (boohoo), we stay in a 1br. I actually kind of like "having" to stay in a 1br to use up those points!

We stay in a 2 bedroom most of the time, but occationally a 1 bedroom or GV depending on the number of guests we have with. We always book a 2 bedroom at the 11 month window unless we are planning a GV size group. If it gets closer to the trip and the guests don't come, we drop down to a 1 bedroom for the two of us.

For our family of three a one-bedroom works great. Family and friends often travel with us too, but they get their own room! :)

We usually will still in a 2BR even though there are only 4 of us - gives us lots of room

Thanks

We love the 1 bedroom, but every so often do use a studio for short trips.

When DS gets older and brings a friend, we'll opted for the 2-bedroom.

When it is just the 2 of us we always get the 1BR. This summer we already booked the Beach Cottage at VB for 6 nites and there will be 7 of us.

90 % of our trips are in a 2 bedroom..... We do rent 1 bedrooms when it is just the two of us, or a girls/boys weekend.

Although we still haven't had our first trip, our plan is to stay in the 2 Bdrm since we have a family of 5. With only 150 points, that means less trips, but at least they will be more comfortable...

We started in the studio to maximize point usage, figured we could stay about 7 or 8 times a year. Got HOOKED on the 1 bedroom as soon as we walked thru the door so that shot that theory. Stays went down to 4 or 5 times a year but they sure are alot more comfortable.

Mostly one bedroom for us. If daughters or Moms join us it is 2 br.

Same as mouseclick...we're doing the 2BR for our family of four.

Shan...getting pretty handy with these polls these days, aren't you? :)
