We were surprised. Understandably - we expected crowds to be higher because it's a Friday...but overall, and at every park we went to, it was REALLY crowded. We've been here since last Saturday and I have to say the crowd level was much higher then we we've seen, during the same time, in years past.

I agree! We were there from Sunday until today (no park today-Friday Feb. 1st) and Sunday was BUSY at MK...the rest were busier than expected but it was still a great time...the Wilderness Lodge was not as busy as when I was there in August 2011 though...

Seemed very busy to me too. We started at DHS this morning and RnRC was 30 min wait by 10 am. ... We did standby at 1130 (due to TSM FPs) and posted was 40 ... Ride got stuck I guess, we weren't moving after awhile .. Waited 55 min and gave up and got out of line.
Went over to MK and was very busy there too!

Yesterday was my very first day ever at Disney World. I spent the day at AK. I didn't think it was crowded at all. I was walking onto rides all morning. So far Disney is exceeding my expectations in every way. Today I am going to Epcot.

I love AK, glad you enjoyed it!
Have a great time in Epcot today!

We got to MK around 9:30 yesterday morning and were out by 2. Fantasyland got crowded around noon but we walked on to almost everything we wanted to ride with the longest standby wait at 15 minutes.

Hope you have a wonderful day at the world :) wish I was there today...

We just returned last night from a week at WDW. I have to say I was surprised by the number of people there! We are used to going in the summer so expected much lower crowds this time of year but it seemed really crowded to us. Now, that said, the lines for the rides really weren't too bad at all. It was just getting from one place to another that was jam packed.

Overall though, we had a great time with great weather!

Interesting - we were at MK Wednesday (1/30) and practically walked right on to everything. And we're long past the days of getting up early so this included not even getting there till about 10. It was great! :)

It's funny, I tweeted yesterday about how crowded MK was compared with our other MK day earlier in the week. Both days were a 3 on the crowd calendar, but it was two very different experiences.

Earlier in the week none of the mountains got above 30 minutes. Yesterday, the waits were more than an hour all afternoon. Ariel maxed out earlier in the week at 40 minutes, but yesterday it topped out at 80 minutes!

I know they were having electrical issues at a few attractions so that didn't help crowd flow.

Thank you. I have been having a great time at Epcot today. Not crowded in the least. I arrived at 9 am and went on Soarin', Living With the Land, The Seas with Nemo and Turtle Talk. It was 10:30 am when I finished all four of them. I am completely blown away with Soarin'. Just walked right on all of them. Then I walked onto Captain EO and it was my lunch time.

I'm curious, did a lot of people go to MK when it had the Electrical parade and longer hours of operation ? Since the parade is only offered a few days a week, that could be why MK is crowded. :confused3

I know when we went in Oct, we had no trouble with crowds and lines. I'm not saying everything was walk on, but the majority of the time we waited ten minutes or less. I think the longest we waited was maybe 25 minutes for Dumbo. It was great and my family had a fantastic time. So I was confused when I came on here and everyone was saying they couldn't believe how crowded the parks were. I then realized it was probably due to the fact we went to the parks on days they closed early and didn't have the night time shows and parades.

The most recent post on easywdw.com shows pictures from MK that I believe were taken on 1/30 and I don't think the place could've been less crowded.

We were on property last weekend as well and definitely thought the crowd levels were higher than usual!

Hope you had a great trip!

We've been here since Wednesday (1/30) and the crowds have been light, from our perspective. We tend to stick with EasyWDW recommended parks and it's been great. I think it is more crowded then when we were here in January 2010, but very, very manageable. I think with travel and tourism rebounding that stands to reason. We were at AK and DHS and both were great ... used FP and did everything we wanted to and are back at the GF getting ready for dinner tonight at BOG.

We hopped to MK for MSEP on 1/31 and it was wall to wall people. Yesterday was a non-MSEP day, but still very crowded all day long. I think Fridays bring lots of people to MK who are leaving Saturday and want to spend their last day at that park.

Here now at mk and it is packed....but then again it is parade night and the only reason we r here. No one mentioned the dance competition that is going on this weekend. I can't believe that doesn't have any affect on the crowd levels? Im going to HS tomorrow....and I am really hoping its not too busy because if it?

oh no - I have friends who have just gone down - they planned (against my advice) to do MK today and tomorrow - I was hoping (against all odds) that it wouldn't be too busy in MK today.....sigh.

Anyone know if it was busy this morning too? (told them to get there at RD but who knows if they did ....?!)
