Bummer about no trip in 2012, but I'm glad you were able to decide smartly rather than spontaneously spending (which is a problem of mine...)

Aaw thank you Pam No worries on asking if Zaheer was coming with me on a future trip...you weren't to know. I wanted to mention something before but just needed time to digest the news myself first. Oh I don't regret taking our trip at all.

I'm the same...it took a lot of strength to tell myself not to book a trip!

Tanz, I'm sending you a big . I'ms orry to hear about you and Zaheer, but glad that you were still able to go on the trip together and have a good time.

I think it is a wise decision to wait until 2013...for sure all of Fantasyland will be done and you will be able to try out that deluxe.

Aaw thank you Carey I'm doing okay...just taking each day as it comes. Oh I love the Disney memories we have made and look forward to having a different kind of trip in the future.

I thought the same thing...deluxe is definitely worth the sacrifice!

So the plans for today were to head to IOA - I was really excited about the possibility of seeing WWoHP. However, we got up late and by the time we would have arrived at Universal the ticket entrance fee wouldn't have been worthwhile. So instead we did my second favourite thing - shopping!!! Don't worry I definitely hope to get to WWoHP one day (maybe 2013?) We decided to head to Florida Mall after sharing the peanut butter finger cupcake for breakfast!

We went to JC Penny and had a look around. We also had a look at Billabong, a football store where we found out that Manchester United had won their match yesterday by 3 goals to one!! Zaheer wanted a look in the Apple store and we went in the M&M store. We loved this place and all the different arrays of M&Ms.

We then went back to the bus stop and decided to head to Premium Outlets (International Drive). We headed into a clearance store and tried on some clothes before going into a watch shop. I saw a DKNY watch I really liked the look of and went back to get it later. Zaheer went into Polo whilst I browsed Victoria Secrets - I can't believe how many bargains there were compared to those available in the UK

We also got some jeans from DKNY before heading to the Disney outlet. I bought a Minnie Mouse plush and a colouring book. We had a look in a few other shops and I bought a top from Forever 21 which I absolutely adore and ended up wearing it later on.

We got a bus to DTD. The plan was to head back to the resort and get changed before going to Boma. However, we were running a bit late so got changed into our new purchases at DTD! As I had been in the heat for most of the day I needed to change into fresh clothes to feel good about our dinner.

We got to Boma and checked in. This was one of our favourite restaurants - it was absolutely amazing!! We had a few people take care of our dietary needs and they made us feel special. Our chef Brian was great and came out to apologise for our chicken being delayed. We sure didn't expect that.

We had some 'jungle juice' which was the best drink we had tasted and then got various food from the buffet. Some of the things we tried were mushroom soup, shrimp pasta, cous cous, pitta bread, coleslaw, chick pea salad and sundried tomato houmous. The pitta bread with houmous was my favourite thing from the buffet - it was amazing!

Zaheer went back for seconds but I knew we had the chicken to eat yet so decided to save some space for this instead.

The chicken was so nice and of course I had to get dessert which included cheesecakes, cheesecakes and more cheesecakes!! I also had some fruit as well to counteract the sugar rush!

Overall it was hands down a favourite meal and definitely deserves another visit. Oh by the way I am wearing the top I bought from Forever 21 earlier.

I'm so sorry to hear about you and Zaheer. I'm glad you got to go on your trip, though, and that you will remain friends! I think skipping next year is a good idea, so you will be able to stay deluxe the year after when you go with your sister, AND the new Fantasyland will be complete!

Awww, I'm sorry you didn't get to see WWoHP, but at least you got to do some shopping! And Boma looks awesome! We always go for breakfast, but we really have to try dinner someday!

Bummer about not getting to visit IOA. I have to say, I never shell out the money for a ticket there when I have an AP. It's just too much money on park tickets. One of these visits I will get back there. Just not sure when.

I love Boma. I have to tell you that I absolutely love chick pea salad. It is my new favorite food. I think I could eat it everyday. I love everything vegetarian and that is high on my list.

Fun time shopping. I always realize how spoiled we are in the US when my DIS friends from other countries talk about their shopping experiences here. I hope I never take it for granted.

Fun update!

P.S. My son Nicholas watches soccer constantly - loves Manchester United. It's always on in our house. How cool it would be to actually see a game. I bet its NUTS!

Sorry about you and Zaheer. I wasn't on the Dis for the weekend so I missed that particular update until just now. I was in Philadelphia visiting family and going to my 20 year high school reunion

Too bad you didn't get to IOA but at least you got some shopping done. I have been to US a couple times (back in late 90's) but never to IOA, they were building it last time I was at US. I never really got into Harry Potter but I would like to see the WWoHP someday.

I'm sorry you won't be coming to Disney in 2012....but I love the idea of waiting longer so you can stay deluxe!
