Back in September, Francois Leroux, vice president of Walt Disney World Entertainment, told the Orlando Sentinel that there would be "sightings of WALL-E" at Stitch's Supersonic Celebration in MK next year. But he didn't give any further information than that. We'll just have to wait and see if the little robot (WALL-E, not Francios) actually shows up.

In the 2008 Unofficial Guide there was a blurb about the possibility of an interactive Wall-E picking up trash in the parks....maybe it wasn't meant for a US park...or perhaps it wasn't meant to be at all....

We were in the MK this past June and were told the same thing by a cast member.

Brian, you mentioned Stitch's Supersonic Celebration. This is the first I've heard of it. Do you have any more info on what it's about?

Not a lot has been officially released, other than it will debut in April, 2009, and Disney says it "will incorporate cutting edge technology, comedic improvisation, and dynamic choreography all set to energetic, stylized music that will make this party out of this world!"

Disney has recently been auditioning dancers, male emcees, and male comedic actors that have "the ability to do specific character voices." It will supposedly include an interactive experience along the lines of Turtle Talk with Crush and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.

The only other information I know about it is that it will be in an area set up between Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress, perhaps where the original HSM show was staged before it moved to DHS, and Francois Leroux mentioned in the aforementioned Orlando Sentinel article that Buzz Lightyear would be appearing along with WALL-E and Stitch. But it's very possible that one or more of these characters will only be appearing on the interactive screens and not in person.

Awesome pic!! We really want to meet Wall-E but I'm betting our passes run out before he hits the parks. We won't be able to renew them this year.

I did talk to a CM just 2-3 weeks ago and he said something about Wall-E's battery wasn't holding a charge and that's what the hold up was. I don't know how true it is.

I get a page full stuff on Stitch's Supersonic Celebration when I click your link, Robo. I have no idea what went wrong on the poster's other end. Though the resulting paranoia is kinda amusing, if confusing.

Maybe what happened is that google spit out one of its sponsored links at the top of the page, which are often unrelated to the search terms and could have included something about dumb overheard conversations? Which would have been the first thing Mr and Mrs Smith saw in the window if they didn't scroll down very far. I don't know, just one theory!
