Haven't read much about pizza here, and we're not terribly interested in ordering from the city. So, what is your opinion on the best pizza and why?

Hoping for good food and Disney themed magic somehow...(?)

As someone who grew up in NJ and is used to NY style pizza, all pizza in WDW comes up woefully short. There isn't a good place on property for a decent pizza, IMO and off property isn't much better. Giordano's is basically the only place that offers a pretty good pizza, but it's Chicago deep dish style.

We ate at Pizza Planet in MGM and thought is was the worst! I believe you can order pizza from outside of WDW to be delivered to you resort room. pirate:

I really like the "flatbreads" at Mama Melrose. The 4 cheese and the pepperoni(minus the peppers & onions) are delicious!

well i can offer 2 opinions.
1. walking on the boardwark there is a little take out window near spoodles and they have a little area you can grab a chair and table and enjoy people watching and a pizza.
2. or we love to order a pizza from roomservice and sit out on the balcony of our room. they bring you white linens and napkins plates and ice water with condiments. this is at deluxe resorts,we were at WL and GF.

just remember that the pizza is not like the pizza at home.

oh and i forgot at also at fort Wilderness in the bar/pub area you can get a pizza just dont get extra cheese , we did and it was very good but they put so much cheese on the pizza that we were chewing so much and all started to laugh that we all almost choked on the melted chunks of cheese, very funny.

i think flatbreads (like mama melrose and spoodels) are the best options because the othr pizza in WDW is too thick for me. i like NY style the best, but i haven't found it in WDW.

Defintely...NOT at the Sppodles window on the boardwalk...yuck, yuck, yuck!

Not "pizza" per se, but the Flatbreads at California Grill are excellent.

WDW Resort pizza delivery is passable in a pinch

I think you'll find that pizza is an extremely sensitive subject esp. with folks from NY and NJ. THose from other areas of the country may find the pizza at WDW perfectly passable.

My self being from NJ will chime in that they don't have real pizza that I've found (not that I go to WDW to eat pizza mind you).

Apparently outside pizza places will deliver to the resorts as I saw a Domino's car a couple times while staying at CBR. But that's Domino's, not real pizza.

NOTE: My husband is originally from Pittsburgh area and likes Pizza Hut best. :sad2: I'm still trying to teach him that Pizza Hut/Domino's are almost like a separate food completely from real pizza.

I LOVE pizza!!!!! But, I could not find any good restaurants to eat pizza at in WDW. The absolute worst was the Toy Story pizza place in MGM. It was expensive and small and gross!!!! Also, even the pizza at the Italian restaurant in Italy wasn't good. It tasted like frozen Tony's pizza. :( not what I expected for an expensive meal. The resort delivery pizza was better than any I had and it still wasn't great

We pass on the pizza. . .YUCK!!! Have better pizza here at home.

Catalina Eddie's use to make a differnt kind and wa hal-way decent but not no more. I would rather spend the money on a sit down!!

I disagree. Spoodles take out window was the best pizza we found! DH and I ate it at least 3 times our last trip.

the pizzas available at Tubbi's in the Dolphin are very good and very reasonable. You can get these to-go.

Have a great time!

We've tried WDW pizzas on and off for 20 some odd trips (the things that you do for your kids!!!!) and to be honest, I have never found one that I liked. In fact, I thought that they were all pretty bad.

I do like the flatbreads at Jiko, California Grill, and Mama Melrose's. These were very good!
