Where's the OKW boat to Downtown Dis?

Hi again - another question! Hope you don't mind!

We keep hearing that you can get the boat from OKW to Downtown Disney but we can't find where that's mentioned in the books. We have stayed at Dixie Landings many times before becoming DVCers and loved taking the boat.

Unless I'm not seeing something (always a distinct possibility) - I cannot find the boat ramp on any map or even reference to it.

Can anyone tell me if it exists and where it exists? Also, if anyone likes to take the boat, where do you suggest to stay so that the kids can walk to the boat to catch it without us (kids are old!) (we're older!) (not THAT old ).

We have our own boat at OKW, it is simply a pontoon that you can board at the hospitality house, or at least that is the way we boarded in Dec. It was quite relaxing and fun to take the boat, if you are in the buildings farthest away from the hosp house like building 55 then there is path you can walk to dd. have fun

Be aware that the OKW boat is much smaller than the one you would take from DL or PO - as I recall, it only seats 10-12 people. So at very busy times, it may be necessary to wait for the next boat (about 20 minutes as I recall).
