Where's the best place to rent a 7 passenger Van?

There are 6 of us and my trailblazer will no longer hold all of us, especially with the baby's car seat! We wanted to rent a van to drive over instead. What car rental place have you used? I have no idea where to start looking. We live in Brampton.

Budget and Hertz have seven passenger mini vans. It can be quite pricey though. Some of the rental locations do not let you cross the border, so be sure to check that and some will not offer unlimited mileage when you cross the border.
Renting from the airport (yyz) has been our best experience. They are open 24/7.
Also rent from a major car rental place that has locations in orlando and along the way. Not from a low cost no name only has locations in Toronto. That way if something happens to the car you will have at least a local branch to call and get assisstance from.
What are dates you are planning on going?

We want to leave March 13th and return on the 21st. This will be a 'Universal' only trip, sadly. We're staying off property in Melbourne at my husband's aunt's place and we'll drive the 45 minutes into Orlando daily. We've done this before but nothing beats staying on property at the 'world'.

I've also looked at flights out of buffalo but they're still pricey for 6 paying passengers (baby doesn't count)! We would still need a car to get around once we get there as well.

I'm open to any suggestions that you all may have to get my family to orlando without breaking the bank!

I have checked Budget and National and both have mileage restrictions so it would be more than flying!!!!!
Hertz from YYZ does not look to bad.
I put in P/U at 5pm March 13th Return 5p.m March 21st.
Chevy Uplander (7 pass. mini van) $604 cdn. all taxes and unlimited mileage
I did not use any coupons so you could do better.
Hertz lets you cross the boarder. This is what there website said:

Vehicles cannot be driven into Mexico.


Driving into the U.S. is permitted, however, you will need a copy of your rental agreement and will need to obtain a pass from the Border Guard, at time of entry. Advise counter upon arrival of your intent to cross the U.S. border and return to the renting location.

Try there site under specials
mousesavers.com has a lot of good codes sometimes.
Herta also has CAA rates if you are a member

I just was on the costcotravel site and if you have a membership you can get a minivan for the same time frame from YYZ for 524cdn taxes in. Hertz car rental

Thanks so much for posting this! I couldn't find anything cheaper than $800+ for a 10-day van rental.

Thanks for the info but this is their policy on US rentals:

Driving Restriction: Unlimited Km rates, when available, are for the province from which you rented only. Vehicles taken outside of the province of rental and/or into the USA will receive 200 km/day and CAD .25 for each additional km for the entire rental. Vehicles are not permitted to travel into Mexico.
There are rental counters in all 3 terminals at Pearson Airport. The counters are located on the Arrival level.
Distances in Canada are measured in kilometers.
This location's mileage policy is also measured in kilometers.

200 km/day + .25 a mile would make this a VERY expensive rental....

I rented a van in February 2008 from National Car and I got unlimitied kms in the US. I think I paid around 700 for 9 days.
